Can this be used to get all fret tops accurately leveled (specifically as opposed to using a longer dedicated leveling beam)? Thanks.

Yes - go easy though - I find this easier than using a leveling beam. If you have a hump at the 14th - 16th fret, this is a better file. It’s 6 inches long and that’s enough to cover at least 4 frets.

What is the hardness on the teeth of the file? To what grit of sand paper would it be similar to? Thank you!

This file has a hardness of 69 HRC. Files and abrasives cut differently, so there's no good wat to convert between the two, but this file is single cut with 20 teeth per inch.

Approximately how many guitars could this tool do a fret leveling for, before the teeth begin to weaken and need to be replaced? Thank you!

That's a tough question to answer and hard to quantify. While it's hard to quantify by number of fret jobs, I've seen these in use in busy shops for 25+ years and still working well. While this tool should provide many years of service, all our tools are backed by our Lifetime Promise.
