I wanted a sturdier spigot for a newly purchased Rain Barrel. This fit perfectly and works much better than the plastic spigot that came with the rain barrel.

Far superior to plastic boiler valves, installs easily on barrel with 1" hole.

A great spigot but the rubber washers are a little large for the center hole. They tend to squeeze out as you tighten the nut on the back end. This is a big problem if your barrel is not the same thickness where you mount the spigot. I had to grind down the thickness at the bottom of the hole I drilled to make it the same thickness. Most plastic barrels tend to get thicker as the walls near the bottom. Otherwise, you would have to mount the spigot 6" or 7" from the bottom which would not allow the barrel to empty. Good spigot, just the sealing in the hole can be challenging.

Used on a rain barrel that previous owners seemed to have made from a tall planter. His repair of super glue and other gunk was not working. I looked at purchasing another rain barrel but hated the cost and couldn’t find one I liked as much as what we have. This valve solved the problem. There are no leaks. It was easy to install and a great value to fix a nice looking rain barrel. It turns easily on and off to easily water my outdoor plants. I’m very pleased and recommend.

Well constructed. I used it on a 5 gallon bucket to drain the condensate off the window air conditioning unit. Drilled a 1" hole into the bucket, then attached the spigot. No leaking.

It's good, doesn't leak, but the handle can be a little stiff to turn.

The media could not be loaded.  Simple easy to make to catch the water from the roof when it rains . Store prices way too high . I made my own works great .
