Maybe try running hot water over it. I also did not have to line up the top. **Q: It is odorless or not?** A: It has a strong menthol scent, but I it works so well I don’t think about it later! I just enjoy the reduction in pain! I do hold my breath when I spray it. I can smell it on my clothes later but I haven’t had anyone comment on it. **Q: Use on dogs?** A: I googled whether it was toxic on dogs and the answer was 'no.'
