SpeckProducts Presidio Grip Case for iPhone XS/iPhone X, Black/Black

I wasn't sure about this, I'd had the Speck Candyshell Grip previously and loved it, but saw some complaints in other reviews about this newer series (Presidio) being made of a material that was not as "rubbery" (higher durometer) as the Candyshell Grip. Since I liked the Candyshell Grip so much this was a negative in my mind, and I almost ordered a Candyshell Grip for my new iPhone X instead of the Presidio.Glad I didn't. The Presidio is plenty grippy, and the area between the ridges has a matte finish, so will almost surely be less prone to scratches than the glossy, hard plastic of the Candyshell Grip. If that's important to you.But the Presidio also offers additional protection for the phone. It's been tested (and you can find YouTube videos to back this up) at drops of 10', which is kinda way up there. Watching an iPhone 7+ drop from 10' onto a concrete sidewalk without breaking, that's impressive. The Candyshell Grip does not offer as much protection. The YouTuber I watched who did the drop test did manage to break the phone in a 10' drop, so it's not a guarantee that your phone will survive this. The phone survived an edge hit, but broke on a subsequent drop when it hit nearly fully face-down (parallel to the ground). But hey, the fact that it survived ANY 10' drops onto concrete, I'm sold.Case fits perfectly, feels great, plenty grippy, Still slim enough to easily slip into pocket, and has a grippy raised bezel so you can lay the phone face-down on a desk or whatever and the phone doesn't slide around. And unlike my experience with Candyshell Grips, the back is dead flat (at least on mine), whereas the Candyshells didn't seems to sit flat when put down on their backs on a flat surface.All in all, great case, very pleased.

I'm very picky about cases for my phone, but I love this case for many reasons..1) It looks sleek2) The grip makes it easy to hold, but it also isn't too grippy that I can't get it out of my pocket3) I hardly ever drop it because of the grip, but the times I have there is no damage that has been done to the phone4) Buttons are very easy to press5) The case goes a tiny bit over the front screen so that your screen will never touch the surface it's laying onThis case has gone through just about everything with me and I'm just about to buy a new one soon because the rubber is just starting to peel back a bit. With that being said, I've had this case for over a year now so it's bound to happen at some point. I will definitely be purchasing this case again soon!

This is such a perfect phone case/protector. It’s lightweight, yet the corners are raised a bit and rubberized to protect the screen if dropped (which happens frequently). The rubberized ridges placed on the side and back of the case also help you to grip. All without being too bulky. I have used this case over the years on different phones and in quite a few colors as I watch when they go on sale. It’s really the best!

I've had this case for about 4 months. It's cute and sturdy. The ridges on the sides and back are nice for having a tighter grip. I've dropped my phone more than a few times now and haven't had any damage to my phone and very minimal damage to the case. My only complaint is that the case is tight and hard to get off if you need to.

I use this as my everyday case. The grip feels pleasant in my hand and the design is pretty nice and attractive. Also, my phone feels protected thanks to the raised bezels, outside layer of poly-carbonate and inside layer of IMPACTIUM rubber, which should protect your phone in your average drop situation (I've dropped mine several times already and I don't even see a scratch on the case.) Overall, a well-designed phone case. I recommend looking for $20 and under prices to feel like you got your money's worth! :)

I had purchased the Lifeproof Frë case before this one. It was okay but I wasn’t the happiest with it because I didn’t feel like I had the iPhone X. The pictures I was taking were blurry, you didn’t see the general outline/sleekness of the phone and stuff kept getting underneath the screen protector. So I ordered this one and I’m SUPER happy I did. I put a piece of tempered glass on the screen and a pop socket on the back of the case! Super super happy with this purchase! It seems durable, it’s light weight, the color and feel of it has acceded my expectations! I can’t say enough good things.

**Update**I have used this case very often since I bought it about 6 months ago (about 80% of the time). I've decided I should update my review since first purchasing. Though the case is still very attractive, smart looking, and resistant to scratches, the bumper lip is beginning to peel and it has faded quite a bit in color. The rubber is not as weak as the last Speck case I owned, but it has become noticeable and something to consider before purchasing. I've decided to keep the case, but ordered the candyshell version to see if it fairs any better. I will also be using a Pop Socket with it to see if that helps keep the case new looking and well-functioning.**original review**I really like this case!! I can tell it is well-made and an improved model since the iphone 7's Speck Presido Grip case. I had the Presido for my iphone 7 and not long after purchasing (maybe a week) the rubber/silicon began to peel off at the lip of the case. I was disappointed because I expected higher quality from Speck, but I don't think the same will happen with this case. It is sturdy, tough, and does add some weight to the beautiful phone, but not as much as the Otterbox Symmetry case I bought. I will most likely end up using this case the most out of the two I have purchased. I prefer this case because it is lighter, sleeker, and seems to add about the same level of protection. The grip included is very apparent. It is not slippery at all- something I avoid in my search for the perfect case. I like that the back is also matte and not shiny due to past experience with Speck cases proving how easily they scratch. Overall, I plan to use this case for a long time and hope it protects my phone as much as I am expecting it to.

I purchased the Speck Presidio Grip case for my new iPhone 10 back in November 2017. This is a great product! It's light, protects the phone well and gives you a great GRIP on your otherwise very slippery naked iPhone. I purchased the charcoal color. Goes great with the black screen. The buttons work perfectly. It has held up well to daily use. Love it!

Meine erste Speck-Hülle habe ich "damals" gratis zu meinem iPhone 4 bekommen (Stichwort "Antennagate") und seitdem bin ich überzeugter Kunde dieser Firma.Die aktuelle Generation (ich nutze dieses Case an einem iPhone XS) funktioniert wie beschrieben und hat mein Telefon von jeglichem Schaden bisher ferngehalten. Egal wie oft mir das Telefon auf die Straße gefallen ist (aus dem Auto aussteigen ist eine "gefährliche" Situation), das Gerät bleibt Kratzer und Dellen-frei.Die Aussparung für die Kamera hat etwas viel Platz, was aber vermutlich der kompatibilität zu den verschiedenen Kameragrößen von iPhone X und XS zuzuschreiben ist.Die Rückseitigen Gummi-Rillen sorgen für einen guten Grip und rutschfestigkeit auf vielen Oberflächen. (Auch ist das Gummi besser als bei der iPhone 7er Variente und reibt sich nicht mehr von der Hülle ab.)Alle 3 Buttons sind gut bedienbar und auch blind zu ertasten. Die Einbuchtung für den Stummschalter ist etwas tief und sollte am besten mit dem spitzen Finger(nagel) bedient werden.Die Aussparungen an der Unterseite für Mikrofon/Lautsprecher sind gut abgerundet (liegen nicht scharf auf dem "Haltefinger" und das Loch für den Lightning-Port ist groß genug, dass jeder (nicht original) Stecker passen sollte.Letztlich habe ich diesen Hersteller mittlerweile meiner ganzen Familie empfohlen, welche schon mit zerstörten Geräten gekämpft haben. Soweit mir bekannt, sind alle auch zufrieden mit ihren Hüllen.Bin einfach sehr zufrieden und freue mich auf zukünftige Versionen

Ottima custodia. Per l’iPhone X ne ho provate davvero tante, alla ricerca di una custodia che fosse un buon compromesso tra protezione da cadute accidentali e dimensioni. La caratteristica principale, però, è che la cover debba prima di tutto avere un ottimo grip, concetto che il 99% dei produttori di case sembrano misteriosamente aver dimenticato in favore di custodie saponetta. Dopo aver provato l’ottima Evutec AER Karbon e la altrettanto buona (ed economica) Silk Base Grip, cercavo qualcosa che offrisse anche una buona protezione, e quindi eccoci con la Speck Presidio Grip.Certificata per proteggere da cadute fino a 3 metri d’altezza, la Presidio Grip è sorprendentemente sottile ed elegante (nella sua versione nera), non ingigantisce e mantiene la linea dell’iPhone sottile e minimale. Nella categoria Slim (e non ultra thin, attenzione) è senza dubbio molto sottile. Calza come un guanto senza rischio di far uscire il telefono e offre una sensazione di protezione e sicurezza. Ha bordi rialzati che proteggono lo schermo se il telefono appoggia frontalmente su un tavolo ed è compatibile con il vetro temperato.Ovviamente offre un grip eccezionale, il design oltre a favorire l’uso a una mano, grazie a uno spessore minimo e alle strisce gommate presenti sulla scocca, garantisce una stretta e salda preso sul telefono.In definitiva, un’ottima cover che garantisce protezione, grip e una linea essenziale. Unico difetto, a volte il tasto laterale è poco responsivo. Consigliata!

Protection efficace et pas si épaisse que ça.Mon iPhone X est très bien maintenu et ne risque pas de s’extraire de la coque en tombant.Le grip est aussi très bien, ça améliore la prise en main sans gêner quand on le met dans la poche.
