Captures a CCTV HDMI output and encodes it over ONVIF to ring security
The system works well to encode HDMI video output from a CCTV security system. On the J-Tech, I used ONVIF without a password to make the ONVIF stream work, and in ring, entering a dummy username/password was the trick. I like the system has the latest firmware, and the video output is good quality.Install Tips: the unit comes with a static IP of 192.168.1.168, so you'll need to set up the device you're connecting to the J-Tech with a static IP of 192.168.1.X. It would have been a whole lot easier if DHCP was used, then at least the user could find the J-Tech in their router.

Awesome device. Highly recommended!!
I am running 4 Amazon FireTV sticks. They are each connected to a Goronya HDMI 4X1 Quad Multi-Viewer and decoded by the J-Tech Digital H.264 Encoder that puts the streams on the network. A SiliconDust HDHomerun duo provides OTA TV through the FireTV app.I use VLC as my video streaming software. It allows watching 4 streams simultaneously anywhere on the network on any (and multiple) devices simultaneously. It also lets me cast the same streams to monitors that are not connected to a PC or other device. The FireTV sticks are remote controlled from anywhere on the network with the Fire TV android app. the FireTV remotes (four of them) aren't used at all. When running 4 HD programs at the same time our Internet load varies from 30-60mb on our 100mb Internet service. The J-Tech Digital Encoder handles all this tomfoolery without complaint with very high quality video and sound. It is a really awesome device. Highly recommended!!

So Far So Good
Does exactly what I expected it to do and does it quite well so far. Very easy to set up and configure. I just wish it would come with DHCP enabled by default (would have given 5 stars). That would make the setup a bit less complicated, especially for those of us that have large internal private networks. I was lucky as the default IP was available on my network so setup was not as complicated as it could have been.

Great for getting my Raspberry Pi into my security DVR feed
I needed something to take an HDMI input and make it available through ONVIF for my Hikvision DVR. This worked like a charm. Easy to set up via browser.

Great Support! Great Product!!!
Does exactly what you need to broadcast on Facebook. Easy to configure once you know how! Only disadvantage is that you audio source MUST come through your HDMI source. This was a problem for us because of our camera. I'd recommend this to anyone that wants to use just a camera with its built-in audio.

Excellent H265 encoding. Works P2P & WAN.
Device works fine out of the box. Quick port forwarding on the router and I was able to stream and remotely receive video to all my devices via VLC including my android phone and fireTV stick. All via WAN. Not sure why they advertise this product as something dedicated to work with 3rd party video servics like yt and other. This device can stream P2P or point to many via WAN with no problem. The H265 encoding is excellent lowering bandwidth to absolute minimum. The encoded full HD video stream takes only 3 to 5 Mbps bandwidth. The 2ndary stream can be encoded also via H.264 simultaneously which means the device has not one but two encoders built in. Great product.
