Built right for sure! Great pump
The media could not be loaded. The Bilt Hard pump is awesome. Starting with great packaging, instructions, and all you need to start. Including the engine oil and funnel. The things I noticed were attention to detail. Like the gas cap with a chain, and a filter in the gas tank. All the identification for throttle, shut off, choke are clear so no confusion. The pump initially started on the 3 pull. Then the 1st or 2nd pull when hot.Keys to assemble; 1) to install the intake clamp into the intake hose. Boil water and soak the end for at least 5 minutes. 2) the intake hose will need some bending and stretching straighten out. 3) it will take a gallon plus of water to initiallly prime the pump. Never run dry or you risk damage to seal.Everything else is easy. Great suction power and smooth running engine. Plenty of power. The frame around the engine is isolates any vibration when running the pump.

What a GREAT PRODUCT!
I live in Northern California and have been thinking about getting a system like this to make a Home Defense firefighting system. This Bilt Hard unit showed up a day EARLY! (Who does that?) I read through the instruction manual, definitely recommend, and found the sequence for set up is very important to follow. I had this set up in about 30 minutes. I took it out to the pool and it fired up right away. and WOW,, the power this machine has in incredible! I could spray water about 50-60 feet in great volumes. There is a greenbelt behind my home and I was able to soak it in about 10 minutes.VINE

this pump sucks !
so i get this and it seems not to start and run over a second. So i fiddle around with carb, maybe sticky . The engine gets going. / OK it sort of sucks a bit of water from pool, but then seems to either caviitate or not pump. WTF? OK this thing was cheaper than harbor freight and there was review warnings, but this thing sucks! I mean it does not suck and not worth it! It seems i can not return it, the dump is closer than trying to rebox it

Great product and great seller
The pump works as described, It contained all hoses and fittings to be able to get it running the day of the delivery. It is quite powerful and pushes the described amount of water. It starts easy and is well made. I can highly recommend this pump. In my case it is used to aerate my pond but I can see many uses for this pump, (flooded basements, agricultural irrigation, pool maintenance...)

Took longer than expected to set up but otherwise...
Getting the hose connections on the intake hose took way longer than I expected. The manual does offer two suggestions to get the fitting into the hose: dish soap on the fitting and dipping the hose into boiling water for a minute. I did both and still fought to get the fitting fully into the hose.I don't have one but I would have used a hair dryer to soften the hose more.Aside from that complaint, the pump starts and runs great for the first four hours I used it.
