Tried a pack of 5 over entry door see if worthwhile. Yes -they had their 1st real test with 11” snowfall this January. This roof faces south, so after the snow once sun comes out and warms, can really slide off en masse. Did so elsewhere, but critically for safety not over door. I think I will buy a larger pack to do the other side., which build up a lot of snow that slowly oozes down forming interesting sculptures.Couple comments:1) I ordered bronze color for a tan mental roof; after 1 season the color has changed, darker. Not a big point but not totally pleased3) install advice- the have an Allen hex screw to tighten, was kind of a pain using ordinary L shaped wrench. If I am doing more I would get a hex socket and use a ratchet it would be faster, fewer scraped knuckles

While these are made of plastic, they are extremely solid and durable and won’t rust. They were also easy to install, and they add some pizazz to the roof line.

I like the design and ease of instalationl. Worked great in the winter snow. But No UV protection! Color faded quickly.

I just I stalled these and am waiting for the first snow to determine how effective they are. Easy to install and look pretty good

As described. Installed easily overall.

Great build quality and easy install. But it is pricy ☹️. If the metal roof gets even few days of ice it can be fatal for the gutters. These are a must . Learned a hard way.

The hooks were to small to wedge into the grooves of the metal roof.

Our house has a standing seam aluminum roof. Lived here for 20 years and never had snow guards. Snow and ice would “sheet” off during a thaw. Since installing these problem is greatly reduced.
