Gets the job done, but tabs don't look very durable
This is a helpful tool. Before this, I tended not to press much of the liquid out of my tofu, and my husband only liked it fried. Being able to press tofu with one tool and not a ton of dishes or babysitting has changed up my tofu game a little, which has been nice. It's easy to clean, and it stores with all the pieces nested inside of it, so it doesn't take up much space. It can be hard to latch the lid when you put your tofu block in. I only use extra firm tofu, and sometimes I struggle to get that final latch locked in place. And those tabs are just plastic, so I'm afraid there's will come a time when one breaks (it's pretty thin at the seam). It's an affordable product, so maybe it will last long enough to justify buying another one. I just wish it had more of a hinge like some storage containers, instead of a bending plastic piece.I'll continue using this press. It gets the job done, and makes tofu easier to work with.

start to love tofu once again
The media could not be loaded. Okay, this tiny gadget truly alters the game! Before my spouse chose to smoke it for me, I didn't like tofu. It was very incredible. We smoked it and then started experimenting with it. It tastes equally as well when cooked in an air fryer. The preparation was the only aspect about tofu that I disliked. It was a hassle to drain all the liquid from it so you could pour all your liquid (marinade) into it. What a revelation! Put it in this adorable tiny box, seal the sides, and wait a little before preparing the tofu. Despite the fact that it is made of plastic, you can pass this along. I use it frequently because it is strong and well-made.

Not even remotely done after an hour!
I’ve had a block of tofu in this for over an hour now. When I opened it to check it, it was still dripping water, almost as wet as when I put it in there. It’s still as tall as when I put it in there. Also, the latches are a type that has thin plastic as the joint, so I don’t think that will hold up very long. That style of joint often fails in kitch tools, in my experience.I think I would have preferred to have spent a few more dollars to get a different style.

Easy tofu presser
Works exactly as it should. Easy to clean. To close, put it on the counter and push down across the whole lid.

Pretty cheap, not easy to use
Really cheap construction, the latches are not easy to lock in place. Takes a minute to snap up, then it really doesn't do much. The tofu isn't as compact as I expected. Disappointed.

Compact but finicky to close
I got this tofu press because it was small and cheap; I wasn't ready to commit much money or storage space to a press. It's easy to clean, compact and fairly effective, but I did find that latching the last snap is always a prolonged struggle.Other reviewers mentioned the water not draining properly; I am impatient enough that I dump out the water every 10 minutes or so, and that seems to work brilliantly. The top isn't watertight, so I can drain the pressed-out water without undoing the latches. When I tip the press over the sink and no water comes out, I know it's done. That said, I have only used it with extra firm tofu.My previous tofu pressing process involved multiple cutting boards, cookie sheets, and college textbooks. It was effective but involved a lot of dishes (and frequent adjustments to keep my textbook tower from collapsing). This is far less labor-intensive, even with the difficult snap. My old method also tended to smush and crack the tofu in places (maybe I didn't need quite so many textbooks), making it difficult to cut it into remotely uniform shapes. This press maintains the tofu's structural integrity and rectangular shape. It doesn't drain the tofu as thoroughly as 5,000 pages of literary anthologies, but the resulting tofu has been dry enough for my purposes and much easier to work with. The compact size also means that I could, if I possessed both forethought and self control, put my tofu in the press and leave it in the fridge overnight. This tofu press was great for convincing me that a press is worthwhile. If it were easier to close, I would recommend it unequivocally. As it is, I think it's a great beginner press for anyone who isn't entirely convinced they need one.

MUST BUYYYY
I am a vegetarian and eat a lot of tofu this is a must have instead of wrapping it several time and having to put a pan on it to weight it down. The clips can be a little tricky to clamp down you jut have to be patient with it.
