Playmobil 6195 City Action Space Rocket with Launch Site and Flashing Lights & Sounds

This is a very good toy, which my children are absolutely delighted with.All the parts feel very strong and seem to be made of very good quality plastic. The parts connect securely and stand up well to boisterous play.There is plenty here for children to explore and enjoy. All the movement features work well, such as the extending platform arms, the elevatable control platform, the movable radar, the fold-out satellite sails. There are spare sockets giving adequate scope for children to reconfigure the build. The rocket pod can be detached and the satellite stored in it. Here again, the construction is strong, so although the pod is easy for children to open, it is secure enough not open accidentally.The light and sound features are operated by three buttons. Each button activates various flickering lights patterns in the rocket nozzles, and different sounds, including a countdown and other rocket related sounds. The sound volume cannot be adjusted, but fortunately the sounds are neither overbearing nor irritating.If you also have the separately sold Playmobil Space Shuttle, adapters included in the rocket toy allow the Space Shuttle to be connected to the rocket (see photo). The combination works well, although either toy also works successfully on its own.Putting the toy together is straight-forward and the instructions are clear and easy to follow, but it is a little complex and fiddly for children, so make sure a patient adult is on hand when your child receives the toy. It took me about half an hour to build.Overall, this is a great toy. As with all toys like this, there are lots of small parts. We’ve already lost a couple of non-vital parts. I wish that toy manufactures would include spares of vital components. For example, to connect the rocket to the space shuttle requires two pairs of connectors included in the Rocket toy. I would have been delighted if Playmobile had included a spare of each.

Built this yesterday for my Grandson. Thought it would save a lot of time Christmas Day. Went together very well but at the end I had one or two pieces left that didn’t explain where they went. That’s why I gave it 4 stars. Apart from that very well made and am sure my Grandson will love it.

I love this set but as like every other playmobil set it has a million little pieces. My son loves this though and it looks pretty impressive once it is built. Cant really go wrong with playmobil we've never had a bad set and the big blue box is great for present wrapping.

Amazing toy! I was looking for years a more realistic rocket for my son with sounds and lights but for some reason it is very hard to find one. My son is very pleased with it and loves to do the countdown and blast off his rocket! Shame it doesn't come with the shuttle. The actual toy is very big so that justifies the price (see picture rocket in comparison with the play mobile figurine). Easy to built too. Defiantly recommend it to all space fans.

Christmas present for my grandson. He seemed to like it but was disappointed thet the attachment wasn't with it. I hadn't realised that the shuttle was a separate attachment. Would have been better had it been supplied complete.

Great rocket! Bought for my son's 5th birthday and although it took some time to put together he absolutely loves it. All the little extras like the robot and the tools were fantastic would definitely recommend this product.

Nicely made and whilst it's a little top-heavy, that's really to be expected and this clever little device also fits nicely with the Playmobil Space Shuttle so you can have a regular little Cape Canaveral in your childs bedroom. Parts are sturdy and large for the most part (so don't fall off and end up in tiny mouths). My 5 year old has hardly put this down. Result!

One of the thrusters lights was not working so my son contacted Playmobil direct. Apart from that my grandson was thrilled with the rocket. This would not be suitable for a small child.
