Nerf Modulus Long Range Upgrade Kit

My (almost 10-year-old) son raved about the Modulus all the way to Christmas - main item on his wish list with this long range upgrade kit and also the stealth upgrade kit. He indeed got them all and he LOVES it - hasn't stopped trying combinations which he shows us several times a day, and has used these bits over and over. They also fit onto his other n-strike elite guns such as the retaliator and stryfe I think, and even onto his vortex praxis (green disc ammo guns) - so the possibilities are huge...he says that it's well-made, easy to hold and use, has good accuracy and great fun - and he loves the way it looks. 6 days in I've pretty much had enough of the constant pumping of the barrel and firing of darts all around the house (didn't much like the one to the back of my head tonight - it DOES hurt a bit) - however, we have one happy boy and a super successful gift. May have confiscated it by New Year tho....

It's Nerf, it's every kid's fantasy toy kit.My two adore the range and found this a very useful addition to their Nerf collections. While it states it is part of the Modulus range, it is also possible to use this on the other Nerf collection guns too.It doesn't have to be used all at once, each piece is independent and can be fitted to any suitable gun, and all the upgrade sets can be used in multiple combinations to create a whole selection of different gun types.Of the upgrade ranges, this is one of the most durable and chunky, and can take a bit more bashing and abuse during play. So far it hasn't had any issues and even with heavy handed abuse it has yet to fail

The magazines are very well built, they feel sturdy and they have rubber on the lower edges.It takes 12 darts, but I'd advise to use 11 instead, to avoid the top dart to be crushed if it stays there for long.My only real complaint is the adapter that joins the 2 mags together. You see, in theory, after the magazine in the gun is empty, you'd just take it out, flip the bottom mag to the top and you are done. However, due to the nature of how the adapter fits in the magazines, you have to flip vertically and horizontally to re-insert the mag properly. I'd think this is easy but it's not. I have largeish hands, and I struggle holding a Stryfe in my right hand and trying to flippity flop the mag with my left hand, I'd imagine kids having even more trouble with it as well, due to the size of their hands. It's easier and faster just having a pouch where you put your extra mag or just duck tape them together.Still, I recommend getting this if you need magazines, as they are really well built and it comes with 24 darts as well.

Product arrived well packaged and in a timely manner.I would class these (or something similar) as essential for use with Nerf magazine feed blasters just as a way of increasing the amount of ready rounds to fire at a enemy. Also it is a bit of a trill switching out magazines in the heat of battle. The down side of using these higher capacity clips is that you will fire a hell of a lot more darts just because you can and it is fun to blaze away.Another down side is because you will fire a lot more you still end up reloading a lot. To counter this you need more mags ready and so will have to buy more. This is what has happened to me and I have eventually bought 4 sets of these upgrade kits.These mags appear very versatile and can be used as two joined 12 round clips for quick reload or taken apart and used as single 12 round clips.In use the mags fit easily into the blasters but do not drop out on their own without a good shake. While they hold 12 rounds we tend to use them to hold 10 rounds only to avoid the problem of darts popping out of the top of the clips. This problem gets worse the more the darts are used and so soften and deform.These are a great upgrade for clip fed Nerf blasters but seem to increase the reloading time instead of helping it, get them and you will see what I mean

So first things first. The clips a re little stiff until you use them a couple of times, the 12 shot sometimes pings free and finally, I put the flip clip into my stryfe, and because of its size made it look stupid and rediculus. I split the mags into single ones and it's far better, other than that an ok product

I ordered this at the same time l ordered the gun. My 6 year old boys can handle the gun and even shoot it, although it does make the gun pretty heavy. An upgrade worth the price - the normal costs of of the bullets alone would make up much of the packs price, not to mention the two additional clips.To set it straight, the clips do NOT jam and are of high quality, the only improvement I would make using a clear side rather than two full orange sides.All in all, a good purchase!

Nerfs products have always been good quality and this pack is no different, all the attachments fit onto the standard N Strike attachment ports and hold there very strong and look awesome on any nerf gun you can attach them too
