you need good young eyesight for the first ouzzles in the book.
a lot of very small print puzzles at the beginning - too small for me to be able to do. Larger sized puzzles were fine.

Big print. Ring bound pages.
This is a great format. Big print and ring bound pages. So you can turn over the page you want and have it flat! V pleased!

Odd book of puzzles
Right, where to begin? Bought because of the spiral binding which means it's alot easier to work with and the pages don't leave your hands all inky afterwards. BUT the puzzles at the start of the book are so small it is extremely difficult to see the numbers in the corner of the squares. You would need a magnifying glass to be able to do them I think and it's such a waste. The answers at the back are also printed in this small format. But I suppose it does stop you from cheating?!The word choice is an issue I think that needs highlighting. I like the fact that more obscure words are used, but it makes it very difficult to guess the words used as they don't follow the regular patterns of wordage used in most other puzzles. Plus, phrases are used aswell as single words and that was unexpected. I'm not sure if they should be included in a codeword puzzle? Perhaps it should be highlighted, so you know to expect them when your trying to complete the puzzles? One last issue I have with the use of words is the use of what I would call inappropriate words. Quite often through the puzzles they have made me raise an eyebrow. The one in particular I must take issue with is the use of 'gender bender'. I was quite upset when it came up in the puzzle and I do have to question its use here. Technically, I know that there isn't a reason not to use it, I just think it is in poor taste.Overall, I think if there was a second issue of this particular puzzle book, I won't be buying it. Primarily because of the small print puzzles at the start and secondly, because of the use of language.

Sensible words
Unfortunately did not do the first 100 due to the fact that print far too small, so that was a waste. Did not understand many words, did not make sense had to look up on Google for meanings!!! It's a shame as purchased book because of its spiral making it more comfortable to use.
