I have been suffering from poor sleep for a while and had previously tried foam-type earplugs which I found to be reasonably effective but not very comfortable to sleep with them in. The Silicon Ear Plugz from Hush seemed to offer a different option so I initially purchased the smallest pack that they produce which is 7 pairs. They arrived in a cardboard container however the Ear Plugz within came secure in a nice plastic case. The instructions for use are on the cardboard packaging, very straightforward. Take one of the 14 individual pieces and work it gently between your fingers until the heat softens the silicon, then put the pliable ball of silicon in your ear hole and push in until it is positioned so as to be an effective noise barrier and comfortable to wear. The first night I used them I had 7 hours of solid sleep! which was fantastic. I was blanketed in virtual silence yet I heard my alarm clock go off, mutedly. And I have a buzzer on my door entry system that would wake the dead which I also heard. Now this may have been due to my not following the instructions precisely. They warn against splitting a single piece of silicon which is what I did. and was left with 2 good sized pieces which fit easily, were very comfortable and blocked most of the noise I needed to have muted. And most importantly the Plugz never disappeared down into my ear canal and were easily retrievable. I am sure my ear holes are perfectly average? In conclusion there are simply no negatives to these Silicon Ear Plugs from HUSH, everything was positive and a thoroughly pleasant and very effective experience. Much better than wax earplugs as they mould more naturally to the ear and offer a tighter seal. They are extremely effective in cutting noise - proof being that I live near train tracks and have terrible neighbours upstairs, and they cut both off. Excellent value for money, especially when bought in bulk, which is what you should do if you use them constantly and need to replace a pair every few days. Small but useful extra is that they come in a nice casing which closes nicely so you can keep the earplugs right by the bed without dust getting in. One star off simply cos they are not perfect e.g. if you accidentally drop one they collect fluff easily and you can't really clean that off, so you have to replace. Overall probably best value you can get - certainly of the different ones I've tried.

These mouldable earplugs are fantastic and give me an excellent, undisturbed night of sleep. Unlike the ‘solid’ and foam earplug designs, these dots of silicone are heated in your hand, then pressed in to fit your exact ear shape - creating amazing soundproofing. Are very comfortable to wear and don’t fall out. Don’t make the mistake of rolling the ball into a point, as that will really hurt when sticking them in. Correctly inserted, they won’t hurt at all. These are washable and plenty in the pack to see you through months of use. Great value.

Bought for wearing at a really loud music event. I wasn't sure what a silicone ear plug is, but they are just like the "wax" earplugs I've bought in a pharmacy in the past, except more pairs at a better price. I could still hear, but without the feeling that my hearing was being damaged and no ringing in ears afterwards. They are discreet and comfortable to wear, easy to remove, you can shape them so as to reduce more or less noise. They dim noise rather than cutting it out completely, which is exactly what I wanted them for. I can't see that any other in-ear product could possibly work any better. I've not yet tried them for sleep but imagine they would be comfortable to wear and would reduce noise a lot (possibly some some frequencies more than others) but not cut it out completely.

This is normally a good product, however i was disappointed in the quality this time. Upon opening protective case the earbuds were 3 different sizes. This is unusual from this manufacturer. Only 5 of the buds were what i consider to be correct, 5 were slightly smaller but 5 of them were too small for purpose and were not large enough to plug the ear and sufficiently eliminate the noise.I am not sure why the mixture of sizes in the same pack has started happening. I have just bought a second pack and the same inconsistency of size is there again. I understand people's ears are different sizes but i used to be able to buy a set of these and all 14 would fit well. Now I am lucky if I get 5 or 6 that comfortably fit. If hush are now trying to make each pack with a size for all maybe they should start offering different packs for different sizes ears. I now feel as i am back to square one in hunting for a suitable ear plug. Shame hush as these USED to be ideal for me.

Repeat order I buy theses all the time. Stay in my ears and muffle the noise.
