This is a very useful piece of kit for your snooker case.Its easy to use and gets the shape of the cue tip to the right shape without too much effort.

Just needed to shape and finish the tip job. Does a good job, and a good price.

Decided to buy a new tip shaper to replace my old worn version. With the design being exactly the same I expected the same quality/longevity as my trusty weathered shaper, I was disappointed. I had multiple uses over a ten year period from the old version on my own cues and it was also used to tip countless rack cues in a local snooker club I used to help out at. However, this new version could not be more polar opposite if it tried. The design is ergonomically spot on but the sandpaper inlay was too fine a grit, very thin, cheap feeling and flimsy. I attempted to shape my new tip that I had applied with pride and careful precision only to find myself rubbing bare plastic within the first 3 or 4 up and down motions. I didn’t even manage to get one use out of it so don’t rely on having it available for multiple uses. I was torn between 2 and 3 stars for the design alone, adding a better quality more robust sandpaper inlay would easily bump this product up to 5 stars. It is cheap and they say you get what you pay for, on this occasion it turned out to be true. I will be scraping their cheap sandpaper inlay out and replacing it with a snippet of my own better quality paper, which incidentally is what I should have done in the first place.

Having bought this and used this a few weeks ago, I'm delighted to say it's had an immediate effect on my playing! Whether everyone may find this, I don't know, but after some light use I now have a perfectly rounded and even tip and my break building is improving no end.The shaper does exactly what it is supposed to do. It's a simple product, but a simple product that works exactly as it is meant to, and to a high standard.For the price, there's no reason not to have one as part of the set - mine now lives in the cue case!
