Evidently whoever sent out the strapping table (good response) had a bad day because they forgot to give me the app ...
I followed the setup instructions and I get reliable readings from my tank at the bottom of the garden to inside the house. The initial configuration didn't reflect my tank, meaning that the level indicated was more than 100 Litres less than the actual level. So (as per the instructions), I emailed Dunraven Systems with the tank manufacturer's "dip versus contents" data. The next day, I received a link to the data download app and a file with the strapping table to upload from the PC via the USB cable. I downloaded and installed the app from their website and plugged in the display via USB and ran the app. The app enables you to transfer data from the display and plot contents over a period of time - handy?! However, it doesn't enable you to upload the strapping table - not handy!!Over the course of the next week or so, I emailed Dunraven Systems three or four times trying to get a response to how to upload the strapping table but got no response. Eventually, I had an email back saying that they'd been off for a few days and providing me with another file to install on the PC, which I used to uploaded the strapping table to the display via USB.The contents displayed on the unit are now within 10 litres of the calculated value from dipping the tank. I have much more confidence in the unit 's accuracy now. However, I can't understand why the strapping table upload app (or the data download one for that matter) isn't on their web site for customers to access. Evidently whoever sent out the strapping table (good response) had a bad day because they forgot to give me the app to upload it.Anyway, it's working now and I'm happy with it's accuracy.

Erratic performance
I bought this after moving house and having used the simpler Apollo Ultrasonic successfully for some years at the previous house. Set-up worked without difficulty although I do agree with others that you have to be careful about the degree of proximity needed to pair or match the transmitter with the monitor. It seemed to give sensible readings for about 15 months and then just stopped working for no apparent reason about 2 months ago. The error code indicated that inaccurate information was being transmitted from the tank to the monitor but after trying all ways to re-connect the two it still will not work. The concept is good but this performance lets the product down badly and is very disappointing.20 minutes after posting my review I thought I would have one last go and, as the warranty had expired, I opened up the transmitter, took out the battery and put it back and incredibly within 10 minutes the system has started to work again. I will see what happens and may increase my 2 stars if it now keeps working. Now its December 2016 and it stopped working again in October. This time no amount of turning off and then on attempting new pairing or other tricks has worked. So its SNAFU.

Not suitable for big tanks, but a nice piece of kit
Easy to follow set up instruction, easy to fit and a nice, clear LCD screen and solidly put together. However..... after setting up the type of tank we have, we came to setting the dimensions. It will only accept up to a certain size. In this instance a height of 100cm - ours is 130cm. This is a problem I can live with, after all, the tank is 30% bigger than the gauge thinks it is, so it will always under report the amount by 30% - at least we should never run out. There are some fluctuations in readings, usually 7-15 litres. I assume this is to do with varying ambient temperatures causing the oil to exapand and contract. Certainly it doesn't move huge amounts that cause me any concern. The transmitter and receiver both have bars indicating how full the tank is. The odd thing is, the transmitter always has a lower reading than the receiver. Surely they should both read the same as the information should be indentical as it comes from the same source, but there is a 1-2 bar difference.Aside from not accepting our tank size and the odd display difference, for which I've knocked a star off, this has proven to be a reliable device. The low oil alarm is not intrusive, but gets the message across and the temperature display is a nice touch, meaning I can justify to my wife, why I'm using up the oil!
