Used these for a family gathering and they worked fine. Colorful and bright. Unfortunately tried to heat up a leftover on one of the dessert plates and it caught fire in the microwave. Hubby was right there so we caught it before it became a tragedy. DO NOT MICROWAVE!

I purchased this beautiful holiday set for a Christmas party I had for my nursing home residents. They were actually prettier in person than what the picture online showed. So festive and pretty and made for a pretty place setting for the party. I would definitely buy again. Very pleased.

I want these to be prefect for Christmas. The dinner plates where to small. I ended up sending it back.

I received this from the Amazon Vine program and am leaving my review voluntarily.Nice set of festive paper plates with matching napkins, cups and straws.Forgot to snap a picture ofvthem loaded with food, but they did fine. No accidents. (Food did not leak through either)I thought $21.98 was a acceptable price.

I got the set where the plates read "Peace & Joy!" and the cups have "Holly Jolly" written on them. The napkins have "Tis the Season" written on them. I was pleasantly surprised at how sturdy the cups and straws were. The straws are the environmentally friendly paper straws but these are nice and thick. I've tried some paper straws that seem to turn to mush in your mouth - these don't do that. Plus the straws are super cute candy-cane striped. The cups are standard 8oz cups and are very sturdy and thick. Hot tea, cocoa and coffee would work but they need sleeves as the cups get hot. They have a thin wax coating inside that allows you to refill these cups. The napkins are on the "paper" feeling side as opposed to absorbent but they do have a textured border for a less paper feel. The plates are probably the only thing I wish were thicker. The smaller plates seem to be sturdier but both are pretty flexible. They would work fine for cookies, chips and light hors d'oeurves but I wouldn't serve a heavy piece of pie or turkey leg on these unless you were sure no one would be trying to carry these plates around full. The gold is particularly nice and really shines. Overall, I'd recommend these for your next Christmas party.

It comes with a set of straws, but I would have preferred a matching set of plastic cutlery. I got the “classy” design (in my opinion), Red a gold patterns, no Santa, or Penguins. More suitable for grown up or more formal party.Attractive set, lots of pieces. The cups are on the small side, but as my wife pointed out, they can always come back for more. Straws are the paper type and are okay, but as I said, matching set of forks and spoons would have been more useful to me.Nice set. A little expensive, but look really good in person.

I ordered these for a Christmas party that we have with a few friends. I opened them and they are very cute but the plates are very flimsy and made of thin material. We will probably use these for cookies but I wouldn’t put lunch or dinner food on the plates for fear of them bending and the food falling off. The cups seem to be fine for cold drinks but wouldn’t use them for hot drinks. The napkins are fine-a little stiff but most decorative paper napkins are. The straws are paper and really cute but haven’t tried them so don’t know how sturdy they are. I will not be purchasing these again. I really prefer a heavier plate that I don’t need to worry about.
