Don’t be stupid like me…
At first, it was really spotty and needed to be rotated and have continuous tension to hold it in the one exact sweet spot for it to connect everything right or the mic wouldn’t work and half the audio would cut out. I was really frustrated until I realized I was the one being stupid - I didn’t realize I hadn’t seated it in all the way. It took more force than expected to fully jam the headphone end in there but after that initial struggle it connects and disconnects easier now. And now I can rotate it in the socket and the connection is solid and stable, not even a crackle. So if it’s acting touchy with only one spot that seems to connect right, maybe double check it’s fully seated in the socket and use a tad more strength than expected. Now that I figured out my issue, it works fantastic!! Great sound and mic transference, nice and clear with no crackles even when it’s moved around or rotated in the socket. And it fits nice and snug in the connecting socket so it won’t easily slip out when jostled or lightly tugged. Love it!

Work well and is built well.
These work great, they do what they are supposed to do. They are like 7 inches long and the quality is really good, I tried pulling and stretching to get the housing loose but it stays on.

Sorry, user error made this review negative at first.
When testing audio issues, there seemed to be an issue with the splitter's mic component, but it turns out that the issue was elsewhere. The splitter seems to be working perfectly fine since I've gotten it, and other reviews leave me hopeful it will last for a while.

Works perfectly, for in-line volume & otherwise
With a mess of so many other cheap Chinese and dubious-quality headset splitters on the first results page of Amazon, it's refreshing to see one that actually works perfectly. Also, pretty exasperating, because I can't even remember how I found this one (was checking one out on the second page, and this was a "related item"). Anyway, I tried Startech's one and it was crap, didn't work for my headset and it was horrible quality with an incredibly thin, limp and floppy cord.I have a pair of Plantronics Backbeat Pro's, and wanted to use it to hear enemy footsteps in CSGO as well as talk to my teammates at the same time. So I took a chance on Ugreen's product and holy hell it works. Not only does it work but it works perfectly, with no hassle or setup, and is great quality to boot. It even looks nice with the sleek brushed aluminum look, much like that used on the iphone 6.My Backbeats come with a TRRS cable with an in-line microphone and play button / volume control. I've read in a lot of other reviews (particularly for other, lower-quality splitters) saying this can pose a problem, especially due to the OMTP/CTIA conundrum, but this gets complicated when you consider that for example, many Android phones (and maybe the iphones now?) support both through a "smart" headphone jack that automatically recognizes the inputs and routs everything together correctly. Well I think this splitter has that as well, because using a multimeter and testing continuity on my stock Backbeats cable, it appears to be OMTP standard (the pinout being left-right-mic-ground), which is older and less common now, but the splitter works perfect with the mic in and the sound out at the same time.

Unable to make microphone work and no stereo sound.
Update: Emailed their customer support and after a few emails they issued a refund. So, can't complain about the service after the sale. Will probably try again if I can't find one in a local store.Purchased this adaptor for 4 pole Razer gaming headset. The headset works fine when used as either a microphone or headphone. Bought this adaptor to obviously do both at the same time. Tested on 2 different gaming PCs (each is a different brand). Microphone will not work on either. Can't use the microphone by itself through the adapter or at the same time as the headphones through the adapter. Also, on both machines when using the headphones, it's not in stereo. Confirmed just using the headsets without the adapter audio works fine. Guessing, some wiring is broken or something.
