Want to carry your camera gear and other stuff too? Get this bag.
I had a camera bag that just carried my camera gear - I found it really annoying because I couldn't take anything else with me - it was ok for cities but not for any longer day trips. I was heading to Iceland so needed a backpack that could carry my camera gear and also coats, layers, water bottle, tripod etc. This is the perfect bag for that. The bag is essentially designed like a good hiking rucksack - it's made of durable materials, it has a waist strap, a chest strap and a waterproof cover, and it's exceedingly comfortable to wear. LowerPro have then added a dedicated compartment for camera gear with a side-pocket. The compartment feels very protective against impact, although it is not a 'solid' box so I don't know how well it would withstand being crushed (not that that is something that has arisen yet...)I think the idea is that you carry your camera body and a spare lens in the camera compartment. I don't have 2 lenses, so I ended up keeping my Fujifilm X-T3 with 18-55m lens, ND filters, AND my Mavic Mini DJI drone and its controller all in the camera compartment. It was such a bonus to be able to get the drone in there. There are 2 further bonuses:1. The bag comes with a section designed for a Camelbak. I don't have a Camelbak, so I discovered that the Camelbak section perfectly fits a 13" Macbook Pro... this is not an advertised feature but it worked so well that it should be.2. The section on the side that I assume is designed for a water bottle held my tripod, and I put my water bottle in the large compartment on the back.In short, I ended up carrying (all in the bag) my Fuji X-T3 with 18-55mm; my drone and controller; filters; my tripod, my water bottle; a mid-layer, waterproof and a ski jacket; a small first-aid kit; my sunglasses; and a load of other small bits and pieces you can chuck in the top compartment. Also, FYI, it was fine as EasyJet hand luggage, size-wise.Highly recommend.

Camera space is tight
The camera compartment is okay for a camera and lens attached plus another lens but my camera has an 'L' bracket attached. It fits but only just. The rest of the bag is perfectly adequate and comfortable. This includes space for other items in the top but smaller items can drop down the side of the camera compartment so you may think that you have lost them when you haven't.It took a while to work out where all the straps are best placed but once this is done, they work well. You can even carry a tripod attached to the outside.

Lots of design flaws let this bag down.
Arrived a day early so we’ll done Amazon. The bag has lots of good features in principle but skimping on materials let’s it down. Everything is tight. I dont think the rain cover will keep out much as the seams are not taped and the stitching is course…even on my cheapest rucksack costing £18.00 the seams are taped. The compartment for the water bladder is too tight which bulges out the back making it uncomfortable. The airflow back system is ineffective as the hollows are too shallow. The side pocket is unusable once the main compartment is filled…I can get one leg of a travel tripod in it but no way will it take a water bottle. There is a lot of wasted space which is difficult to use without imagination and ingenuity. It would be better if the camera padding could be removed when not carrying camera gear. The cinching mechanism is a waste of space and actually presents direct water access to the camera compartment. The loops for attaching poles are not great and will need adapting. This review may seem harsh but I have been walking the mountains for 57 years and I think I know what works. Despite all this I may keep it and adapt it. I would cut out the camera padding and put in my lowepro toploader45, add elastic to the gear loops so an ice ace could be carried as well, can’t do much with the over tight side pocket though.. I’ve only had it 12 hours so it may get sent back. Come on Lowepro you can do so much better for £120. Edit, have returned for a refund.

Fantastic bag but smaller than expected!
I went for the 300 model as I have a modest camera setup; a canon 800D and an 18-55 lens and a sigma 10-20 lens as well. I also have a Mavic Mini 2 which is tiny in comparison to its older siblings.I had hoped this would all fit in the camera section and the bottom but this area is only just big enough for a medium DSLR with a lens, and then maybe another lens next to it. I have had to sacrifice my battery grip and that just would go in attached which is a downside. If you have a large camera or a lot of gear then this might not be the bag for you? I’d recommend trying out in person if you can.I tried to see if the drone would go in as well but in the end, I’ve had to settle with it going in the top compartment instead. Not a problem, it just eats into the luggage space for day trips; I also carry a jetboil which just about fits in with all of this, but there isn’t much room for anything else.Overall the bag is a great design, solid build and everything Id expect from LP, I’d just hoped for a bit more volume or an option to go bigger than 300 in this style. All in all, a great buy but definitely smaller than I expected.
