This light up pad is going to be perfect for my needs! I did believe it “propped”, it does not, so keep that in mind. It is a flat pad.Use:i am using it for animation and illustration.

It’s really easy to use and the 3 different light settings help when tracing on it and the canvas is smooth like butter and the pencil just glides easily

I bought 3 different brands of this size light pad, and this is the only one which did not have a pattern (dots) that appears when turned on. Perfect for diamond painting of small pieces as there is nothing to diminish the light from the pad.

I last used a light box ~20 years ago, so it's pretty wild to get something so thin, small, and portable that also has such even light. It makes sense, given modern LED displays, but it's still neat.I got a different brand first that had bad quality control (lots of scratches) and had you dim up and down to the setting you wanted. That was a pain. This one just has you tap between dim, medium, bright, and off. Way way better and more logical. It's just a light box - you don't need fine grained control of the brightness, you need a few levels.I only took a star off because light bleeds out of the sides of this thing like crazy. I'll probably put some paint or nail polish or tape or something around the edges to stop it, but I wish they had done that at the factory. I mean, they already put black on some parts of the acrylic, they could have just coated the edges, too.But yeah, I'd buy this again. Certainly worth the $15 price.

Wow. I purchased two of these for Christmas presents for my daughters, and Christmas morning arrived and they were opened and found to be absolute trash. Not only where they put together incorrectly, the parts weren't even lined up to begin with! additionally, the controls don't work. Sometimes you can turn it on and off, but nothing else works. And then on top of that Amazon wouldn't process a refund or a return due to the fact I'm unable to ship them back because I Don't have a shipping box. So now I'm stuck with garbage on my hands and out the money.DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK!!!!

Sometimes you just need a small light box for small jobs. This is compact,great light options, good price.

My granddaughter absolutely loves this.
