I'm returning this item. My son was excited to purchase it but used it once or twice and asked to return it. The tools are cheap and don't glide through the sand nicely, it pushes it. Maybe the pivot stem is tool short on the rake, so it sits too deep in the sand. Other than the tools, it's nice quality.

The media could not be loaded. We had to remove it from all of the offices because everyone kept playing with it. 😂

Bought for a co worker and she loves it, now I need one

I believe Zen is a way to achieve “enlightenment” through meditation and intuition rather than consciousness. I know nothing about Zen, but I’ve always intuitively known that cooking, gardening and solving puzzles let me go of the day-to-day obligations that so often just give me stress. (When my husband had an emergency operation that lasted 7 1/2 hours, I don’t know how I would’ve gotten through those 7 1/2 hours without sitting down to solve a puzzle.)When I received this little Zen garden, my first thought was to give it to the neighbor’s kids. Then, I realized that this could be a new stress-relieving activity for me. An activity where my mind could get lost in the rhythm of the task at hand. Mindless, yet mindful.So I cracked the package open. My son had a Zen garden when he was little. It was cheap and shoddy. This Melonva Mini Zen Garden is handsome, delicate and, may I say, inspiring of Zen and mindfully made.And even if you’re not given to mindfulness, who doesn’t like playing with sand? Or with a little model mountain? Or with silky-smooth stones? The tactile pleasure alone that these items bring is enough to give this garden 5-Stars.Then I found myself raking the sand, placing the stones just right, and the mountain, lending strength and permanence to my miniature world. I was totally engaged, but some other part of me was in charge, guiding me creatively, mindfully — I wouldn’t say to enlightenment, but to calm and relaxation for sure.
