Change your baseline temperature which is your morning temp, my old base line was 75f and below even if it was 100f outside. The two weeks before getting this cover were very hot and sadly when we received this cover the temperature has been down 10f and has been in the 70's and 80's. Now these temps are great for life,. but in the past you would never swim as the pool was cold for the last ten years! Most of the time the temperature in the pool is warmer then the outside temperature. It is so good now I'm a little afraid when the temps get hot again, lol. My guess I will leave the cover off the pool, I dont want it too hot, yeah it's like that. Mind you my baseline increases was on cooler days then the 75f baseline going into my test, so my guess it it is even better then 5f, but expect 5f increases on morning temps week 1.Baseline Temp, day zero 75fDay 1- 76.5Day 2- 78FDay 3- 79FDay 4- 80FDay 5 and beyond every morning temp is the NEW baseline temperature = 80FMind you this is morning temperatures and not afternoon temps which have seen as much as 90f. We can easily count the number of times we have used our pool in the past 5 years due to the temp, we received this cover two months ago and waited a while before putting it on, and we use the pool every day boom it was that easy. We both feel embarrassed it took so long to figure this out, a heating system that costs 200 bucks and lasts three years as others report. We could never afford energy heating our pool, the prices for this is as much as our mortgage. We have a solar array for the pool, but when we dropped it from the roof to the field the pump pushes the water too fast and it is useless, so we were considering a variable pump instead of the 3 hp pump we have hanging on there now. We still may do this at some point, but it would be a choice and not necessary as we have solved the pool temperature problem, we no longer have a cold pool.Now, I am grading this on what I knew when I bought it and not grading it against other options. If I was, I might go 4 stars because after seeing the tests I see clear covers mini bubble 12mil even let more heat through. But, since the temperature of the pool has been perfect, my guess is what that would accomplish is extend the season even more with the clear option.It was easy to cut my anxiety on this was not legitimate, it could not have been easier to cut! Because the 12mil is thick, the scissors go through it very easy and the 40ft pool was cut perfectly in 5 minutes. Just go to end of coping and cut 2 inches in, lays perfectly. I cant imagine tracing it before, so not needed and I'm serious! Also, you can cut in half and it would be super easy to remove and stack. It pays for itself in one season just on chemical prices. not to mention the cost to heat a pool which is a second mortgage payment. I dont like mandates, but solar covers carry so much benefit I wouldnt mind seeing localities mandate their use if you have a pool. I would have appreciated this info sooner, we wasted ten years of cold pool ownership. And oh yeah, stupid low pricing on amazon pool covers, not only can you not get this mini bubble option in most localities, the lesser covers cost more then this higher end 12 mil.

We have a swim spa that is about 14 x 8 feet so we bought the 16x32 and cut it into 4 sections. We are using one piece now and saving the other 3 for when this one wears out.It is folded oddly, not like I would fold our king bed sheets in logical way doing halves each fold. So it was challenging to unfold it enough to be able to cut it into 4 pieces. And of course like most things we buy, try to fit it back in the box it arrived in, even just for the unused portion 😂.But it seems hefty and we are using it in Florida hoping the sun will warm up the spa with less use for electricity.Also the very thick heavy safety cover is a hassle to remove each time so we hope this blue bubbly plastic cover means we can store the heavy cover until it is off season again.

I purchased this pool cover about a month ago and the seam down the middle of the cover and it was leaking at the seam, I sent an email to the seller explaining the situation. Within one day, I received an email asking if they could replace the product or give me a refund. Because I live in a Very rule area and it takes me a few hours to get to my PO Box. I asked the seller if they would give me a 50% refund because the pool cover is still useful. I just don’t believe it was gonna last for a few years like the last one did the seller immediately gave me a 50% refund?Excellent customer service and other than that the pool cover is very nice

Bought a slightly larger cover than needed to custom cut for covering both the pool and spa. Seems to do a great job reducing evaporation as well as keeping water temperature 85’.
