MizunoMen's Wave Prophecy 12 Running Shoe

Great shoes but run half size small
I wear a 10.5 but each of the 5 different models of the Mizuno wave prophecy I have purchased, I have had to purchase a size 11, otherwise my big toe smashes into the front of the shoe when wearing them or jogging in them. That doesn't happen with any other shoes I wear. The shoes are awesome looking designs, comfortable and very well made, which is why I continue to buy them.

Great shoes small toe box
Overall great shoes and I love the look of this Wave Prophecy model. To me they are on the firmer side while running in them compared to their wave sky series for example. Pretty comfortable, stable, and with decent ground grip. This particular model runs way smaller in the toe box than other Mizuno shoes is my only complaint. Most Mizuno shoes I fit in a 12 perfectly. I had to try to 12, 12.5 and finally the 13 to find my size. So one entire size larger to actually fit in them comfortably.

Not for me
These shoes were comfortable, but I wasn’t a fan of the upper design, the tongue is very tall and interferes with my ankle bend.

Very stable show with a ton of support
I have a fused ankle so I am buying shoes all the time. This shoe is great for many reasons. First it provides great support, second the base of the shoe has a good shape which helps for rocking motion when walking. They make these shoes to last. I have many versions and pairs of the same show dating back years and they are all still in great shape. They last a lot longer than Nike shoes, although I do like some Nike shoes, the Mizuno is a much better buy.

Run's small in length
This is a great shoe, but it definitely runs small in length. I wear a size 9 wide which, at times, is still too long; but in this case my toes were pushing against the front of the shoe. I did notice; however, that the sides weren't too constricting. I returned them and ordered a half size up. Shoe itself is a great color, plenty of cushioning, and, of course, stylish. I recommend the shoe but would order at least a half size larger than you normally wear.

Next level running shoe
Was a little hesitant to spend this much on a pair of sneakers, but I decided to pull the trigger, and was not disappointed . These Prophecies take a little while getting used to- every other running shoe I’ve tried emphasized cushioning and a soft feel on impact. These are totally different, at first the sole seems incredibly stiff, almost like you are running in dress shoes. Then once you get going, the design intent and reason for the stiff heel becomes clear- the shoes literally PUSH you forward. Amazing. I’m just a recreational runner, yet my mile time decreased by >20 seconds the second time I tried these shoes. Makes me wonder what a serious runner or professional could do in them. The only slight criticism- the tip of the tongue is a little thin and sharp, so it would occasionally jab into my ankle as I ran. This is easily remedied by wearing slightly longer socks that go just above the ankle or taping a small piece of ace wrap onto the shoe tongue.

Mizuno makes great shoes that are durable
Has become my favorite brand. Provides support for a big guy and lasts forever. All have been indestructible. Hard to get rid of the old shoes. Keep up the great work. This model runs a bit more snug but still fit fine.

Don't spend the money on this product.
Don't spend the money on this product. I've owned them for just over two months and already have material failure on both shoes. After purchasing ~ 15 pairs of Mizuno running shoes quality wise these are not worth the price.
