Husband very dubious after being used to a large petrol chainsaw ... but works really well. Easy to manage for the typical garden pruning job. Two batteries makes for prolonged use if necessary. Already had enough chainsaw oil to float a battleship. Good price very pleased with purchase.

Was not expecting this to be as good as it is. Goes through 8 inch branches like they are butter. I am not one really for writing reviews but this mini chainsaw really does deserve it. Very simple to set up and use and with two batteries and carry case it is excellent. Had a large pile of big branches I needed to cut up and allowed myself an hour. It took ten minutes with virtually no effort. If there is one negative is that you have to buy the chainsaw oil separately, not a big problem as you can but 100ml online for £4.

Brought this saw on a whim as had never used one before but needed a tool to help with the pruning of my fruit trees.Saw came with two charged battery packs so got pruning underway.Adjusted chain and filled with oil.well I am impressed with its cutting abilities it can tackle quite thick branches (100mm+) easily.This is also good as you can hold on to branches/ladder with one hand whilst using the saw.lightwieght too.Do keep pumping the oil button and clearing the chippings .batteries are slow to charge but last a reasonable time.not the best build quality but for about £60 that's OKSo I say this a Great pruning tool.and would recommend.

Had a fallen silver birch. Not a big tree, but enough I could not move easily, so got this. Never used a chain saw before, but really easy to use. Cut through the tree like butter. Even cut through the post that used to support it. Cut it into 1 foot pieces and a neighbour took them for his pizza oven. Used it to cut small branches from a tree similar to a hawthorn and after all the use battery was still good. Chain did come off once, my fault, aas cutting through lots of leaves and bits on the hawthorn. Undid the bolt, took off cover, put chain back over cog and everything tightened back up on replacing cover on bolt. Really happy and impressed with it.

The size is really good to work in small spaces. Easy to use and clean cut. Battery life is good. A carry case keeps it all together. Love it all around garden, allotment

I wrote the review below after having the chainsaw for a couple of weeks. Unfortunately it stopped working so I contacted the seller for a replacement but they didn't respond so I returned it for a refund. Five stars for Amazon's customer service, one star for the seller. The tool is a great idea, unfortunately this one is a poor example.What a great little chainsaw! I had an ash tree felled recently and have been using this to cut up the limbs into log-burner lengths. Previously I would have struggled with my 20" petrol chainsaw but being able to hold the wood in one hand and cut with this saw in the other is fantastic. It flew through wood up to 5 inches thick with no problem, all the while me being able to reposition for the next cut in seconds rather than putting the saw down, re-balancing the limb precariously, picking the saw up and cutting whilst hoping the wood doesn't move.I've also been using it to trim the hedge (a mix of plum, elder, hawthorn and ash) and cutting back the ivy that's climbing up the remaining trees in the hedge line. It'd handled everything with ease and is great in tight situations where you would struggle with a hedge saw.The set is really well thought-out. It comes with a spare chain and chain bar which is very impressive for the price. The included screwdriver, brush and chain sharpener are fine for on-the-job tweaks. There's even a little bottle for chain oil so you don't have to carry a litre of it around with you. The gloves and goggles are OK at a pinch but I use good quality leather gloves and safety glasses instead and have had no issues. The blade stops nice and quickly and as you're not fighting with a big, heavy piece of kit you're a lot safer when working.I get about an hour an half from the two batteries before they need charging - charging is not quick, a couple of hours for each battery with the supplied charger but it gives me a break :-)

I have a large petrol chainsaw but it is such a pain to fire up that it is not worth the bother for quick jobs so I was looking for something small and came across this. Despite being bitten many times in the past by buying off-brand products which turn out to be useless I live in hope so gave this a go. It's superb - best tool I've bought in ages. It chews through quite thick branches and even small trunks in no time and the battery life is good. All the logs in that wheelbarrow in the photo were done with this - it won't do massive trunks but it will do pretty much most branches. I end up walking around with it looking for things to saw. A brilliant little thing to have to hand.
