Didn't really "need this", however, I am glad I picked it up... nothing bad to say about it, really
I do admit I feel odd reviewing a product like this (usually i am a "tech review" guy) ... but i feel the need to. I have an issue at times with hard skin on my heels and ESPECIALLY my big toes ... nothing major but i finally decided to try a product like this, and ... I like it already ... while i JUST got this and used it once, it seems to work great. Sometimes just using a foot cream or something like that helps (and i still will use that after i use this item) but it's better to get the hard skin off first.like I said my issue isn't bad but i have had it for years and for a few $$ in an order, i figured I'd try this. I am not going to ham things up but ... i do notice where it was hard skin to some degree before ... is really smooth, and soft.I also (maybe its because of the "glass technology" in the description) i was wondering how this would FEEL ... I cant speak for those with ULTRA SENSITIVE skin .... and while others have said this sort of feels like a LIGHT grade sandpaper ... I am not sure i'd say it like that BUT ALSO ... i cant think of anything better. For my normal skin ... it doesn't hurt at all. It's easy to clean too ... it was a little "dusty" with particles when i was done (by the way i did not wet my feet first ... i just opened the package and tried it... .no problems there) ... ran it under a little water ... cleaned up "instantly"I may have not "needed this" ... my issue i have had for years but it has always been "meh ... no big deal" ... HOWEVER .. I am glad i picked this up and plan to use it at least after every shower.

100x Better than Pumice!
I'm a stay-at-home-mom to 4 very young children and go barefoot all the time unless I'm leaving to drive somewhere. I am very often on my feet and my poor heels have taken a beating. I had deep cracks that I began healing with Eucerin Original Healing Cream (the ultra thick/rich one!), but I needed to physically remove the hard, dry skin that haloed my heels. I had a woman at church swear that she uses a pumice stone in-shower, but I've never been able to get one to do my heels any good!! They never seemed abrasive enough for my need, plus they seemed to wear down smooth too quickly. This Dr. Scholl's is perfect, in my experience! The size is right - not unwieldy at all - and the handle fits nice and ergonomically. I tested it both on dry skin and in-shower and I had the same great results! I doubled-down on my deep-heel moisturizing and smoothed out my Eucerin cream all over my feet and slipped on socks immediately after my shower. I have to say, I am extremely impressed and happy with the results! I'd usually be more than happy to show results, but I don't give away feet pics or videos for free. ;)

Innovation at its best!
After my older foot file broke. I was in the market for a new one. It was the metal grater type. It got the job done, but the handle broke. This time around, I gave this one a try and boy was I impressed! It was a little smaller than my old one and used glass instead of metal. It was also seems to have a thick plastic handle instead of a hollow one. You could feel the courseness of the filing surface which almost felt "tacky" due to its design, so I wondered would it even go over the skin. I usually soak my in epsom salt and warm water before using a foot file. The smaller size and sturdy build made it easier to maneuver. The way it just glid over my foot I thought it wasn't doing anything, but I could feel my skin getting smoother! It was amazing! The old metal grater type you could definitely tell something was happening and you also knew if you stayed in an area too long, you could do too much and make that area tender. Not so with this one, it had smooth feeling like a it was polishing the skin, so it just felt safer to use. It felt like no matter how long you stayed in an area, it would only remove the skin that shouldn't be there, where as with the metal type, you knew you could overdue it and cut yourself. I would recommend rinsing it off periodically during use as since it doesn't have open grates like the older ones, it can get a little "clogged". Just a quick rinse and you are back in action. I love this new one and I look forward to using it again!

Scratching in the sheet's
Works well for the most part but still need to buff and hydrate your heals well, or you will feel the roughness in your sheets and towels. You know that annoying scratchy feel.

Miraculous Job!
I have tried so many files, scrubbers and solutions to remove the rough skin from my feet and toes but nothing ever worked, and in fact the "pedi-egg" blade type callus remover ended up making things worse. This is the only tool I've ever used that removed clumps of dead skin without any cutting, hard scrubbing, or pain, especially on my sensitive baby toes. After one use, I couldn't believe how beautiful my feet looked and how soft my feet and toes felt, it's such a micracle that I can't stop touching them! My only regret is that I didn't take pictures so that you could see just how bad my feet looked before but take my word for it, they were bad! I don't know how this device does what it does, but it is the easiest foot file that gave me the fastest result that I have ever used!

My feet WERE like I had never worn shoes and lived in the desert. They aren't anymore.
I have VERY dry feet, I do not exaggerate how horrible they are. This is an issue I never thought I would solve the problem. After trying every type of product, pedicures, etc., I thought this seemed promising. It did not disappoint. My deep cracks were GONE after one use and the amount of dust was disgusting, yet so satisfying :), and 2 weeks later, they still feel fantastic. I was even able to get rid of the dry skin on the side of my big toes.I have some grip loss and weak hands, but it was still easy for me to use. I made sure my feet were clean and COMPLETELY dry before using. I definitely recommend putting lotion on afterwards and sleeping with socks on (if you are able).I've not had many products throughout my life that I would say are amazing and do beyond what they say they do. But this, this is a miracle, and I would recommend it a thousand times over.
