I would say this is a nice, normal brush. Not particularly stiff.

It’s almost great but it’s not. Good build. Sturdy. Classy looking. BUT the bristles are way too soft for a horse brush. They just lay down on each stroke. You will absolutely not move dust and dirt out of the coat with this brush. It might be okay after a bath and coat slicking spray, but not for your every day applications. Stiffen up those bristles and you’ll be on to something.

This was a gift for our 10 yr old granddaughter to use on her new horse. It’s a BEAUTIFUL brush, well made, and will last a long time!
