A former coworker was from the Middle East and she introduced this to me. When the baggie she gave me ran out I was on the hunt for a replacement ! Store ones didn’t make the cut so I searched and found this and it was an amazing in taste and smell! Excellent quality spice!

Its a bit too salty for my taste otherwise it tastes good. would buy again if it contained no salt or very little salt.

The flavor is amazing, very authentic, no cheap fillers.

This bag of za'atar came packaged in a large, resealable, plastic bag. The herb blend is flavorful, tastes fresh, and unlike other versions of this blend that I have had, it also contains salt, which is convenient in most recipes. The price may seems a little high for a spice, but a good quality spice/herb blend can definitely cost this much or more, and you get a LOT of it. One online spice purveyor charges over $50 for this much za'atar.This is a great quality product, and I love being able to have a lot of it in my home so I can use it for so many different excellent uses.

Way more expensive than what a similar product costs in a retail store

It does smell good and it does have lots of sesame seeds in it, but it has far too much salt. I do like sumac a lot and sprinkle it on lots of foods, but didn’t come across any at all and that’s a big bag. Maybe they just forgot to put it in. My Lebanese genes just didn’t like it. It tasted like dried weeds and salt but then cilantro taste like soap to me; it could be a gene thing. I hate to be negative about a product from a woman owned business, SORRY!

I love using all different kinds of seasonings and za'atar is one of my favourites. This blend is really good. It's especially good on baked chicken. I've added it to lentils & rice and put some on hummus and it worked beautifully on all. I really like that the bag is resealable. And a good seal at that. It's not hard to get closed like so many other resealable bags. This may be out of some people's price range but I highly suggest investing in it if you want a really good quality, authentic za'atar. There's a LOT in the bag and a little does go a long way so it is worth it.
