GREAT ANTENNA !
This is a great portable antenna that I use with my Xiego X6200. It is very easy to use and setup. For optimum performance, please read the instructions. You can setup the antenna in about 3 minutes. I have gotten the SWR down to 1.1 on several bands with 3 ground radials about 10m long with small length adjustments right out of the box. I've been using a small (1m dia) mag loop antenna and it's an excellent antenna but it's not very easy to carry and include on backpacking trips for SOTA activities. The JPC-12 is !! It comes with a very nice carrying case (about the size of a small laptop case) and is quick to set up. I like the selectable coil for different bands and I've experimented moving the coil to the bottom without the extension rods and using only the whip antenna for the CB bands, it works great ! Just be careful with the whip antenna and pull the sections out with care, I've seen too may people jerk the whip apart on other model antennas. A friend of mine bought the JPC-12 and he highly recommended it, I'm glad I did !I would highly recommend this antenna for the newbie (like me) as well as the experienced ham operator. The price and build quality is great !

Works GREAT with my ARES portable radios.
I wanted an antenna for HF that was basic, easy to carry and set up. But it ale had to perform. I set this up the first time, and pre set the coil for 20 Meters, and added four radials. My SWR came out to 1.06! I was very impressed. My radio is a basic Yeasu 450D and with it set to 25 watts, I was able to make several contacts across the US. The propigation was not well at all, but I was able to make clear 2 way with them. BTW, my noise level was very low (3 or so) No noise. This allows me to receive weaker stations and is very helpful.I can carry this antenna very easy with the included case. It takes just a couple minutes to set up. One important feature is the coil, which sometimes needs to be adjusted, is mid way up the antenna and that is a dream to adjust standing up. No more getting on your knees to see it. Really a great design feature. I am very happy with this product. Its great for POTA and ARES during hurricane season. It is now a major part of my portable kit. N4JEP

It Works Great!
The only reason I ding this product one star is the documentation. It is severely lacking, and wrong. There is a cheat sheet available on the internet, use it!I connect to a cheap USDx HF QRP TRANSCEIVER (aka Chinese black brick) via RG8x coax. Holy smokes! Unbelievable! From Houston I've made voice contacts with Florida, Wisconsin, California, Montreal (Canada) and last night my first DX to Panama! On 4 watts! Yes, FOUR watts QRP!Needless to say, this antenna rocks! Tear the ribbon in groups of two so you'll have 5 radials. Setup is quick (5 minutes for this slow guy). Breakdown is the same. When removing from the ground, DO NOT pull with the aluminum pieces. Take those off first and ONLY pull from the rough edge of the base. See YouTube. The case fits in my backpack nicely and the antenna does well in the wind. Performance is fantastic.Ignore the directions. For 20 meters, I get over 2.3 SWR using the gold & red coil marker. But exactly 1 coil down, I get a real nice 1.01. When I use 40 meters, I click up 4 coils above the recommended silver & red coil for a 1.3 SWR reading.I so badly want to give this thing 5 stars. But man... They have got to do something about the documentation. That being said I HIGHLY recommend this antenna and I WILL buy another one when the time comes!

Excellent Product
Well manufactured, cleanly machined, good fit and form. Very nice compartmentalized carrying pouch with room for a few extra things. Manual could've used some extra pictures showing a bit more close-up detail, but Amazon imagery & video made up for that. Assembled and had it set up in the back yard in ten minutes (replaced another antenna). Overall decent product for the price. Only had chance to use for receiving and a little QRP CW work (excellent, despite terrible geomagnetic storms of late), haven't tried transmitting at power yet, been raining all week!--HOWEVER ...--Understand this is a PORTABLE antenna, not something intended for permanent outside installation. Experience tells me the exposed metal parts may be prone to rust without proper care (e.g., frequent applications of WD-40, deoxidizer or contact cleaner. A fully-extended telescopic section could get bent should a strong wind come up. If you're gonna leave this outside for a while, at least retract that section when not in use.--Thinking of ways to ruggedize for permanent install, maybe mount a few feet off the ground on a short mast, perhaps add some metal guy-wires for stability, also serves as sturdier ground plane.

Surprisingly easy to set up- works great on the 20-meter and 40-meter band.
Used primarily for the 20-meter and 40-meter band, I found it easy to tune with a manual tuner and got some excellent reception several states away (in the middle of the summer during the day). It was very easy to set up- and easy to pack up. Great for portable work!

Great HF Antenna!
This is my first attempt at HF so I wanted something that wouldn’t break the bank, something I didn’t have to figure out how to build (yet), and something that could work multiple bands. This is a great choice for all of those things and more. The build quality is solid, the price point isn’t terrible in my opinion, and signal strength has been great. As a Tech I’m only using it on 10m phone right now but I’m studying for my General as we speak and look forward to jumping into the other bands with this antenna. I live in an HOA in Texas and I can hide the antenna behind a smaller tree in our yard. I haven’t noticed no problem reaching contacts as far as Argentina using less than 100W.If you’re thinking about picking one of these up I would definitely recommend it.

Real Nice Pota Antenna
I like the quality of this antenna. The radials that are provided are terrible. They should make them out of Teflon wire. I had to make my own so I took off a star for that. That is my only complaint the antenna sets up fast and I was able to achieve less than 1.5 on any band.
