I like these lights, but they run really hot - like burn your skin hot.They do light up a room nice, I have 4 of them in a 14 foot by 14 foot x 10 foot glow cave.

Even with it being a pretty penny it was worth it. They worked really well!

I bought this to replace a new 24" fluorescent blacklight which was illuminating a vintage 90's Lava Wave machine. Although I had a similar 24" fluorescent blacklight as a teen in the 90's, my new one really wasn't as bright as I remembered. So I bought this LED blacklight, which was incredibly cheap at less than $15 and arrived in about a day. WOW! It is exponentially brighter than the fluorescent lamp, like 10X brighter. I'm pretty happy with it, but did notice it generates quite a bit of heat on its metal enclosure (not plastic!). Unlike what some others are saying in these reviews, it isn't so hot it will burn or brand you, like a cast iron pan on the stove would do. But it is quite warm. I'd say 5-10 seconds touching it would maybe start burning you. Probably not even a burn but it is VERY warm. I'm kinda hesitant to leave it running 24/7 like I was doing with the much cooler running fluorescent lamp. I'll have to grow to trust this thing in time. After I discovered how hot it gets, I decided to install the "legs" that come with it, which puts it about 1-2" above the mounting surface. That should be adequate to prevent anything melting or burning.

Worked well they get very hot

A real plus for me is that they plug into the wall socket and not USB, which would seriously limit where these could be placed in a room. Great dependable light and I just ordered my third from this same company. Not due to them burning out or anything, I just needed additional units. They put out a bright light, but I'm using in a larger room.

I got this for my son so he can get to see the glowing fish that unfortunately didn’t survive long enough for this to happen. So now that he has the light that works greatly, I have to replace the fish.
