Excellent alternative to the very expensive device previously used
I purchased a very expensive chrome device, which I had to have numerous trips to a private practitioner to take mouldings etc. It worked brilliantly for about 18 months, but then couldn't seem to get it to fit properly, despite long trip back to practitioner. All they could offer was £100 off a new device. The Oniris works on a very similar principle to the chrome device, so at around £50 thought it worth a try, and yes it works just as well and although, as previous reviewer mentioned, my jaw is a little stiff in the morning, it does the trick. Used the mould and got it right first time and it has lasted since last September, just about to order another one, but at that price it's far cheaper than the titanium device and seems to work.

I don't rate it
I purchased this to try and help with mild sleep apnea. I was very disappointed with the product and unfortunately I can't recommend it to anyone to try. The main issue was that I found that once I had moulded it to my teeth and tried to use it the device it kept slipping off my upper jaw. It was impossible to sleep with as it constantly coming off my teeth and as for the plastic links that connected the two parts, they kept coming undone in my mouth. It got to a point where I genuinely thought they'd come off completely and I'd end up swallowing them in my sleep. In a last ditch attempt at resolving the problem of it slipping off my teeth i decided to try and re-mould it and start again. I tried numerous times with boiling water to get it back to it's original form, but it just wouldn't go back. After one hour of soaking it I could still see the moulding of my teeth. I gave up and decided to return the product back through Amazon.I tried to contact Oniris to offer them feedback and to get some general advice in case I was doing something wrong. All attempts to contact them via their email address that I had obtained from their website came back undeliverable. By this point I was quite fed up with the whole experience and felt very glad that I'd made my purchase via Amazon so sending it back and getting a refund was easy. Who knows what would have happened if I'd ordered directly from Oniris since I couldn't get in contact with them.

Best anti snoring mandible splint I have tried by some margin - with a flaw
I have just ordered my second Oniris anti-snoring splint as a spare (replacement as of 14th Nov 19). It's my favourite so far. I have tried 3 or 4 other brands/makes but feel that the Oniris is easily the most effective. First attempt at trying this type of device (not Oniris) was a one-piece moulding type. It was partially effective but I have a problem breathing through my nose all night and when opening mouth during sleep they became disengaged from teeth (usually the lower jaw) and then became very uncomfortable and ineffective and would wake me up. I then ordered an Oniris, and because it is in two parts and most importantly allows you to open and close your mouth, I have had zero problems with it disengaging from teeth whilst asleep. I have also tried TWO other two piece anti-snoring devices, but their method of hingeing is such that they too are easy to disengage from teeth whilst asleep because they do not allow the jaws to open, rather like the one-piece 'boil and bite' type (although in truth they are both marginally more comfortable than the Oniris because they don't have the slightly bulbous ends like the Oniris hinge bars.NEGATIVES - It took me 2 - 3 nights to get used to wearing a mandible splint. To my surprise, now I now am barely aware of it. The constant pressure from the device marginally moved the angle of the teeth in their setting in the gums (in my case the lower incisors forward a little) in the same manner as an orthodontic device. I had very minor jaw ache for a couple of mornings when I first used it but don't any more.POSITIVES- vastly outweigh the negatives for me. It almost completely cured my snoring, but it also cured mild sleep apnea which was noticeable on oxygen level measured in my blood and the SnoreLab app on my phone. I sleep a lot better and so does my partner and I feel less tired in the day. BUT - I have noticed that the Oniris hinge bars can become slightly bent (particularly if you try to over-extend your jaw).COMPLAINTS - Even with the adjustable level of jaw extension set to the minimum needed to stop/reduce snoring (in my case, Bar number 2) I have noticed one of my hinge bars becoming slightly bent due to constant pressure (which has the effect of reducing jaw extension). I would suggest that the manufacturers look at making these adjustable hinge bars from marginally stiffer or stronger material. I tried to fixed mine by very carefully warming with a small gas-lighter flame and bending it back straight. I feel I shouldn't have to do this (update 16th Nov. my carefully twice re-straightened hinge bar broke during the night - so I have knocked a star off my previous 5 star rating)One reviewer said they had problems with the bars coming off in their mouth... they MUST have incorrectly fitted them because they are very hard to disengage/pull off unless in the correct position and you can't get them into that position when its in your mouth!

Five Stars
Works 100%. My jaw is slightly sore in the morning but it's worth it.
