One day while checking the oil level on my 2007 A4 the yellow plastic handle just crumbled. This was the perfect replacement. I should be good for another 17 years; right?

Product is not as described. It does not fit Audi. The top is too small for the tube.

Item appeared to be quality made. Bought as a replacement for an 2008 Audi A4. Looked like the same part however, the indicator on this replacement was taller than the original so would give incorrect readings

This is the same oil dipstick as the original on my car. The slight differences are the texture and feel of the yellow plastic handle area and fits very tight and kind of hard to remove once it is set in. The 'genuine part' ring handle has more of a 'textured' surface feel compared to the replacement (smoother) and the o-ring is slightly thicker which makes for a better seal. It is overall the same length with measured levels except the 'max' indicator is about 1/8" higher compared to the original so you might think your oil level is lower, but the 'low' indicator is the same. Replaced mine because one of the two notches by the ringed handle has broken off which is a common issue, but this one seems to break a lot sooner than the original German-made part in about 3 months time to be exact. Great alternative (temporary) replacement part at a fraction of the price with some slight flaws (hence the 3-stars).
