I appreciate the natural treatment for mosquitoes!
I love the concept and design of this DEET-free Swift mosquito repellent bracelet. We try to use primarily natural products in our home, so this being a natural and safe option was very appealing to me. The bracelet is well made and aesthetically pleasing. It’s so comfortable to wear, that I forget I have it on. I can sometimes be sensitive to fragrances and thankfully the scent of this doesn’t affect me. I truthfully haven’t been able to determine the effectiveness of the product as we haven’t been bombarded with the usual mosquitoes…yet! I truly don’t have any doubts about the effectiveness of the essential oils used in the repellent sticks, as I’m already familiar with the benefits of using citronella and lemon as repellents. The concept off this bracelet is great, but it’s unfortunate there’s a time limit of 180 days from activation, before the effectiveness wears off. Especially given that it’s been opened, we haven’t seen mosquitoes yet, and I don’t know how long it’ll be before we NEED to use it. But, if opened at the right time (in the summer vs. spring), the essential oil laden insert could last for an entire mosquito season where I live. That could make the bracelet usable for 2.5 - 3 years, provided the sealed inserts stay fresh that long. I would like to see an option for purchasing refill inserts by themselves, instead of having to purchase a new bracelet every time. The first couple of times would be okay to purchase a his and hers, but after that, purchasing the entire kit when you only need the insert refills, seems a bit wasteful. I do like the product for its clean and natural repellency and would recommend it as a safer alternative to DEET products.

Doesn’t help me
Wanted to try to find anything to keep me from getting bit that wasn’t full of DEET. Keep looking, this isn’t it!

IT WORKS
Okay, I was very skeptical because mosquitoes love me. My husband never feels them and I am going crazy. But this think works! Now, I may have felt one or two but for me that is such a relief I call it a great success. I simply put the bracelet on and sat outside for several hours while we had dinner and visited with friends. I offered repellent to others and some said they had put some on before they came over so I don't know if that had any effect but I am usually attacked viciously but I was not bothered. This will be on my list each summer.

Comfortable, good DEET-free concept
I found this bracelet to be a comfortable, natural method for repelling biting bugs. Unfortunately most of my bites have been on the fleshier parts (thighs, upper arms) so the bracelet may not have the range to work there.I have been a mosquito magnet in the past and unfortunately continue to be. In a recent trip to Florida, I managed to get over 20 bites. I didn't remember to wear this bracelet till later. By then I'd found out that most of bites aren't around my wrists and ankles. However, this is comfortable and easy to wear so no harm in continuing to wear it. The smell is mild and it's easy to use.As others commented, once the three inserts have been used up, the bracelet isn't very useful. Maybe we can make our own replacement inserts, but that's a bit of work so nice if the inserts could be purchased.

Not As Pictured :(
I’ve developed an allergic reaction to mosquito bites and was thrilled to find a mosquito bracelet that was both refillable and a style that could pass as a piece of jewelry. Unfortunately, the bracelet did not look like the picture when it arrived. The body of the bracelet was darker, more of a tan than a beige, which I could have lived with, however, the ends were a very shiny rose gold color, not the matte silver color pictured in the listing. Very disappointing!

Seems to work?
I wore this while lawn mowing because I get tired of the small bugs following me around the yard, waiting for me to turn around only to slam into my face, eyes, nose, etc. Anecdotally I did seem to have fewer of them following me around and I did not feel the need to stop and spray myself like I usually do. We aren't in deep woods, but in my suburban neighborhood it seemed to be enough. The bracelet itself is pretty soft and comfortable and getting the little scent sticks into each end was pretty straightforward (just pull the ends straight out). You get three pairs of the sticks since you put one stick in each end of the bracelet and since I don't need these every day and only used them for about 2 hours while mowing before putting the bracelet back in its zip lock pouch, I'm hoping to find later that the sticks are still scented and useable. That will actually be the true test of how happy I am with these...if I have to use new sticks every time, it could get a bit expensive and make for a tough sell over other options. So, so far so good and I'm happy with them. I bought two more for my young nieces after this since my sister in law likes the idea of not spraying them with chemicals etc and so far she's happy with hers as well.

Like Wearing an Invisible Force Field
So no joke, this worked great for me. Our backyard has become a haven for mosquitoes; you can't step outside at dawn or dusk without getting swarmed. I have tested this several times now in different conditions. I use one on each arm and I have not been bitten since I started, not even once. I have literally watch mosquitos approach me but then fly away when they get within 1-2 feet. I can actually enjoy gardening in the backyard again, without fear of being eaten alive! They don't seem to do much for biting gnats though. They aren't advertised as a gnat repellent, but it's still good to know. The smell is just like a strong essential oil blend (which it is). I normally can't smell it myself unless my head is closer to my wrist. When I do smell it, it's not unpleasant in the slightest, and I would greatly prefer the smell to some harsh chemical. I store the bracelets in the included zip lock bag. Doing so, I have been able to keep them fresh for months before having to use one of the included replacement oil..sticks...Not sure what to call them.I'd say if you're thinking about buying, do it. In fact, I would recommend two of them.
