Burgundy Velvet Fabric 45" by The Yard

This is a very nice feeling velvet. I am going to make a Christmas dress from this fabric for myself. I sew for others, but am saving this goody for myself!

Very thin.. easy to tear. I use to refurbished, restore old vintage jewellery and watch boxes where the velvet liners have deteriorated. I could use a heavier grade but at these prices, no complaints. The Burgundy and Navy Blue are good color matches for my usage.

Once you have seen anf felt silk velvet, you can no longer settle for this cheap stuff :(

Ordered to sew and it shredded horrible...I do not recommend to sew with ended up throwing it away.

This velvet has a good hand. The color is a merlot and not muddy. Very nice sheen.

The fabric is very nice! It seems to be more of a dark red than burgundy.
