I managed to get a super-clean installation by running the wire through the fork and out through a drainage hole about an inch from the skewer. I'd recommend passing a gear cable retrograde to pull the wire through because it's pretty flimsy. Other than that, whip your olf top cap off and replace with the unit using the longer bolt. I've yet to fully test it out, I'm only planning to charge battery packs rather than charge accessories directly. But on a quick spin up the road it seemed to power up a cheapo supermarket usb chargeable light.
