My son likes it so I’m happy, but he so badly wants to set up track under the bridge and it’s so heartbreaking seeing him try and not be able to. I get that this is supposed to mimic the real-life bridges that raise up for boats and stuff, but my son is 3 and doesn’t understand that and even if he did, not many of us have boats in our wooden train collections! I’ve tried finding larger cars from his playroom that only fit under the bridge when it’s lidted up but that’s just not very fun for him and I can see why. So while the toy is good as it is and my son does still use it when building tracks, I can’t help but wish it would either come with a little wooden boat or the right height to not only help illustrate its intended purpose but allow kids to actually play with it that way (and since they went to the trouble of painting the base, maybe could’ve painted it blue like water?) — or else left the bottom green piece off completely so kids could actually set their train tracks up under the bridge too, or play with it however they want. I would happily pay a little more to have had the company add in a little wooden boat... or they could just make extra money off us by not adding the wooden base that limits play which seems like a logical win-win. But while this issue bothers me a lot and my son a bit, it’s not the toys fault per se and it’s not like it was advertised as perfectly fitting tracje underneath it when it doesn’t, so overall I’d say it’s a good toy.

Great quality. Lots of character. The only reason 4 out of 5 stars was because....(hard to describe)....When putting the two sides down there is little plastic lips that have to line up just right or it won't lay flat and train won't easily go over it. It was very frustrating to my 1.5 year old and it wasn't easy for even adults. I would have to show and explain how it worked each time and someone would comment about it and i got tired of it. So i just cut the plastic nubs in half with regular ol' scissors but now it looks cut. Whatever, happy with it now. Well made.

It's a decent bridge, but what were they thinking on where the bridge comes apart and goes back together!? It takes a lot of fiddling to get the bridge sides realligned after you draw the bridge open. Weird design.

Wonderful and sturdy. Our two year old loves it with his Thomas/Brio set. If I had designed it, the one thing I'd change is the height of the bridge. It's too low for trains on a track to pass under (when the bridge is down).

There weren't any reviews at the time but we purchased anyway. Great addition to our soon to be 4 year olds collection. He loves Thomas, Brio, wooden train sets and this piece fit in very well. We wish the track could continue under the bridge but overall it's compatible with our current track pieces and seems quite durable. Would recommend.

I wasn't sure just how this bridge would work for a three year old, but kids today are smarted then I was WAY BACK WHEN.The bridge has wooden elevation track to raise the track off the floor to bridge height, something that I wish was available singlely for the number of bridges in our home. Simple to operate, even an old goat like me can figure it out. Great price

Great price! Great addition to my son's train set. Bigger that we thought but happy anyway. Nice and strong made bridge. Works great with Thomas wooden tracks and melissa & Doug ones too.
