Great for the cost
I like that it’s all metal and not plastic. It is not hard to install but you must "burp" the coolant system or you will overheat due to air bubbles being trapped in the system. I did not change out the internal stat and it is working correctly. I am not seeing any overheating issues.

Works for a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 with Pentastar engine
Amazon registers this as not working with my vehicle. With pressure test and a fully mounted product there is no leaks, no lack of function to my vehicle. This product is 100% what I needed. Way better than plastic parts. Just be aware it is about a half cm shorter than the OEM mount so don't mount anything to create tension on the upper radiator hose.

Thermostat with Housing for 2011 Chrysler Town and Country.
I was astonished to see that the OEM thermostat housing was plastic. This thermostat housing was aluminum, and it matched the plastic one perfectly, and was fairly easy to install, although that bottom bolt on the housing was a bear to get to. Part fit perfectly and so far there are no leaks, and the check engine light, for low coolant temperature, reset itself. Obviously the old thermostat was stuck in the open position and wouldn’t let the engine get warm enough.

Nice upgrade
Good replacement for the plastic factory one on my 2012 jeep wrangler. Holding up well so far. My factory one was cracked so if that says anything…

Solid aluminum
Always prefer aluminum over polymer plastic any day. As for the actual thermostat I used my oem mopar inside this housing. So I can’t speak on the thermostat that comes with it.

Bought one for each of my two dodges. Original stat and plastic replacements would open at 98-99 celcius and occasionally over 100. Replaced with theis type. Opens at 88 consistently. No malfunction no sticking and no overheating. So far so good! Been almost a month now. Part seems well made. Oem should be like this.
