All I know is it appears to be coated with some type of paint. It’s well coated, even surface with no runs so must be electrostatic coating The spring closure is some type of metal. The body I assume is aluminum as it will not magnetize.

What is opening size for the 1.1” length one? I’m hoping to use this for my dogs’ tags and the D-ring on their collar is about 6mm thick.

I am not sure, because I remember throwing them away. The reason I did that is that these D-rings are made of copper and the stainless steel look rubs off over time.

Hi! I bought this and would like to use them on my camera strap. Do you think the weight would be too much? How much weight can each other take?

The thickness of the clip is 2mm on the side and 3mm on the “spine.” The diameter of the hole is 4mm, so you could scrunch a camera strap through that hole, perhaps. But I think the average thickness of a camera strap is a bit wider. You’d need to measure yours to see if it would fold in half. The other thing to consider is this is all metal, so it is strong, unlike some flimsy plastic clips, so weight won’t be a problem.
