Q: Why do the images show an energy rating of a and f? which is correct? if a is correct, why does the picture of the paperwork state f?

From 1 March 2021 a new energy label is used, which removes A+, A++ and A+++ ratings and resets the scale back to A to G. This item was rated A on the old scale and F on the new scale. The bulb it's self didn't change. I believe the scale was changed because as new technology is developed that is more energy efficient they didn't want to keep adding more and more +'s to the scale so they just moved everything down the scale and started again.

Q: Does it connect to Alexa

No, It's just an ordinary light bulb,. Unless it was put in a "smart" light fitting or a lamp stand on a "smart" plug.

Q: Will these run off 12v DC supply ?

Yes they do run off 12v As well other Vaultages

Q: Are these ok for an outside light

That is where i've got them - in an outside light. They are obviously not waterproof, so the light fitting is fully enclosed and rated at IP65. They generate very little heat so are quite comfortable in a fitting designed for 60w or more incandescent bulbs.
