KOH - I - NOOR Polycolor 36 Set, TKC3836

Believe it or not I got this set of 72 Polycolors to stop myself being tempted by the 144 set that is shortly to be put out by Koh - I - noor. I am not sure that this is going to work as I was very impressed by these. These relatively inexpensive pencils performed far better than I expected. They sharpen to a needle point really easily, are well pigmented and come in a good range of colours. They are slightly harder than my Lyra artists set but not as hard as Derwent Studios and one can apply up to ten layers of them. These are a good set, not scratchy although hard enough to hold a point well for detail but also soft enough to lay colours down smoothly.I did not expect a high degree of light fastness at this price so was pleased to find only tweve of them rated with two stars. (Polycolors are graded from one to five stars for light fastness, two being satisfactory by their rating.)I was especially pleased with the subtle range of colours offered in this set of pencils. These are excellent quality and good value for money and I recommend them.

I’ve all the best makes and ranges of pencils, DERWENT, Lighfast, colour soft etc, FC Polycromos but lots of other makes as I’m a bit of a collector over the years.I purchased a few of these Koh I Noor to try and was impressed, so purchased the complete set.These pencils have become one of my favourite sets ever, layer lovely , blend well, beautiful depth of colour.Plus keep an excellent sharp point. I was amazed really that these are not better known.Would highly recommend especially for this price , I paid £50.These are far superior to all the Chinese white label products on the market.A beautiful hard wood pencil , thick colour rich core available open stock as well.

I'm an adult colouring book enthusiast and purchased these to use in the various books I own. Overall, these are fabulous pencils for the price. They are highly pigmented and it doesn't take much pressure to produce vivid colours. They blend quite well, but not as easily as the Prismacolor pencils I own. The leads are fairly soft, but a bit harder than some other brands I've used and they hold a point well, so they're fabulous for detail work!The reason I am only rating them four stars rather than five is because some colours (a few purples, blues, and an orange) have harder, scratchier bits in the soft leads that I can't get rid of, even through sharpening. This has resulted in a bit of streakiness with some of the colours. Aside from this, they're lovely pencils and I would repurchase them.

I was very surprised at the quality of these crayons , they are soft and blend very easily and they are very strong so far I have had no breakages and the are very easy to sharpen ( some brands aren't and I own sets of the posh brands ) but I read some very positive reviews and thought I will give them a try and I am really pleased I did , they come in a nice tin so would make a great gift for a budding artist.

The colours are gorgeous and smooth when applied to paper as an artist myself i love to use lovely pencil crayons when drawing as it makes the experience feel so much more sublime and this product does exactly that. I love it.It arrived quite prompt and there was a lot of protective packaging surrounding the product preventing any breaksThe crayons themselves came in a metal case and it is well made to hold all the pencilsThe colours are smooth and sharpen easyThe tones of colour are as said on the tin and they are just as describedHowever for the price I would not recommend buying these unless you know you are going to be doing a lot of drawing or multi media art as they can be on the expensive side.Personally I waited until they were on sale as i had my eye on the 72 pack and it was well worth the wait.

Arrived a lot earlier than expected. Pencils were well packaged and protected. Good choice of colours and pleasing looking. No colours on pencils but the are numbered. Lay down nicely and blend quite well. Not as soft as primsmacolor but the cores are harder and will last much longer. Overall a very nice set of pencils for the money.

I bought these for my hobby of colouring, Which I have revisited. The product is very nice, well packed. the pencils looks amazing and match the colour of the lead. They are soft and spread nice and evenly on the paper. This is my first step into advanced colouring products, after Steadler's norris club set of 36, which I find really hard and don't blend or spread well on the paper. If u run out of invdiual colours, u can buy them online, which is really helpful.

I love these pencils. They lay down really well, they blend like a dream and the price is so good.I have been trying out loads of makes of pencils as I have taken up adult colouring and I love it. I have bought Marco Raffine which were fine, I then invested in collecting a set of Faber Castell polychromos which are widely known as really good pencils (which they are) but with the price of about £1.80 a pencil (average) I thought they were too expensive to sharpen!!! I then saw these Koh-I-Noor pencils on Amazon for a really good price and I thought, in for a penny and bought the 36 tin at £23.64. Well I was blown away by them, as I have said above they blend so nicely, they are smooth and creamy to use and I cannot recommend them more highly. I then set about finding them in open stock, which I did at 89p a pencil. PERFECTThese are now my go too pencils, I really enjoy using them and although there are only 72 colours this seems to be fine by me :)

Wanneer je van een wat harder potlood houd zijn deze absoluut een aanrader. Ik gebruik ze vaker dan mijn polychromos.
