One of the doors in my home has an annoying habit of banging against the wall, which over time has left a small dent in the plasterwork at the point where the door handle has made daily contact.I’m pleased to say that this doorstop immediately solved the problem.The doorstop is made of aluminium and has rubber rings around the outside and on the base. The rubber rings are a great feature, as they allow the door to make contact with the unit almost silently.I found the weight to be adequate for most conditions. It has been in place for a number of months and hasn’t moved an inch.I have tested the doorstop on two different types of surface: wooden flooring and bathroom tiles. In both instances, the rubber on the base of the doorstop gripped very well and didn’t allow any movement. I have not tested it on more challenging surfaces, such as carpet.Visually, the aluminium has a ‘dull’ finish, which is useful, as it allows the doorstep to blend into the background.Overall, it’s a well-built and well-designed doorstop, and comes at a reasonable price. Most importantly, it’s moveable, which gives it a distinct advantage over the alternatives which need to be screwed to the floor.If you live in a house where doors are susceptible to frequent opening and closing (due to children, drafts, etc.) I would recommend this is a good solution.

Needed this to prevent bathroom door handle touching a newly fitted walk in shower. This is ideal and works well.

We have a number of solid internal doors where their handles often can hit the wall when the grandchildren burst through during play and occasionally paint or filler is needed later. The diameter, height and weight of these are spot on and the rubber cushion rings protect door panel and skirting boards and rubber base protects the floor while resisting movement across it. They look neat and I'd say are value for money. We needed four, two of the rooms have tiled floors and the other two are laminate floors so these avoid the need for drilling to fit peg type stops. They are also portable so can be used to stop a door slamming when windows are open for through-draught or even temporarily used elsewhere if needed.

Didn't expect the door stop to be quite so large but it looks good and does the job. I've had a few comments on it but don't know whether that is a good or bad sign.

Have bought quite a few of these. They were not bought for use as door stops however as they can be used for several other simple purposes. As a large scale collector of CDs and Vinyl it is important to keep the records and CDs upright. These make excellent bookends as they are large and heavy. They also have another use with HiFi which is stop the metal cases resonating and degrading the sound signal. I was dubious about this at first but at £4.00 hey it's worth a go. There was a noticeable enhancement in sound quality on some older and cheaper equipment, this was especially true on CD players.

Have bought these before so we knew they were good. Recommend for keeping doors wedged back.

Bought this after my dog chewed my wooden door wedge. I thought 'I'll buy a metal one, she can't chew that!'Sadly this isn't as heavy as it looks and whilst it does prop the door open, it's a bit flimsy and could be picked up by my dog, who then proceeded to chew the rubber pad off the bottom. The rubber rings around the circumference also just rubber bands that slide off, so if you have inquisitive young kids or pets, be careful, as they could be a choke hazard.

Perfekt om man inte vill skruva eller limma fast något dörrstopp. Lagom storlek så våra små hundar inte kan bära iväg med den, dock kunde varit något tyngre då vår lätta innerdörr knuffar undan den något varje gång den råkar slå i stoppet.
