Nice clamp But......
I ordered the 1/2" clamp assuming that both the threaded hole AND the clamp bolt were both 1/2". Only the threaded hole is 1/2". The clamp bolt is 3/8". Therefore, the clamp strength is the same for either size. Nonetheless, it is a very nice heavy duty clamp for its size.

Work Great!
Purchased these beam clamps to create a clothesline for my wife in our basement. Work well, grip and hold just fine, and install easily on one of the steel support I-Beams in the basement.

Nice castings.
Part of my shop has warehouse racking set up in it. I figured these would work on some of the beams. Found out that most of my beams are welded closed instead of open. Oh well. One thing I did realize is that I can use these to put eye-hooks and other attachment points, rather than just threaded rod for floating shelves or whatever they were intended for.The casting finish on these is actually pretty nice. I don't know what the failure strength is for these, but I imagine it's going to be pretty high. I wouldn't try using them to hold steps or a platform or anything a human might access; but they should work great for non-critical needs.

Work as intended
Purchased these to run string lights from a steel i-beam to posts in our yard. I wish that the opening was just slightly bigger than 3/4 inch because it didn’t fit on the flange of the beam as I was hoping (just barely too small). I was; however, able to connect these to a steel support bracket at the end of my beam and it worked great. I purchased a couple of 3/8 inch I bolts to thread into these and attach the lights to. So far, very happy with the results.

Exactly as pictured, smooth functioning & sturdy!
The body of the clamps appear to be cast and have a good deal of heft to them. The bolts thread smoothly and have flat tips. I got these to use as standing seam clamps to anchor my Starlink cable across my standing seam metal roof. They are more competitively priced than clamps advertised for standing seam clamping, and honestly better. These seem like an excellent item to have in stock ready for the next DIY project given their ability to mount threaded rod anywhere!

Nice!
Great light-duty clamps for a variety of uses, many for Holiday decorations and light hanging. These are solid enough for most things around the yard/home. Glad to have several to keep at the workbench for quick access. Recommend.

Handy To Have Around
I am a woodworker and I purchased some of these to have on hand for clamping small pieces and whatever other use that may arise. Sometimes I have to fasten to something that has a flat surface, but no holes to tie to. For instance, if I have a wooden sign that I want to hang, I can mount a couple of these to the top edge with the bolt to the back. Then I can attach a hanger wire to the clamps and not have to drill holes in my sign. I'm sure other uses will come up over time. All in all, these clamps are well constructed and I have no disappointments about them.
