This is one of those little devices you don't think you'll need until you have one, and then you wonder why you didn't get it sooner. It works well and mostly eliminates my daughter’s frustration around her music books staying put on her keyboard stand.The cats are solid, well-made, and light. I found no sharp edges to worry about, and use is simple. The middle two legs of the cat go behind the book, and the front and back legs hold the pages at the book’s front. The holders are easy enough to slip on that my eight-year-old can manage it solo.These worked for all our books, which are different shapes, thicknesses, and page weights, but I did see two things I didn't like.First, the device marred the pages of our thicker book with a permanent mark. Over time, these marks will add up. This isn't a big deal for our home books, but we’ll need to be mindful not to use the device on borrowed books.Second, while the device is easy to use, it's not quick, so removing it to flip the page and reapplying it will take more time than some may find desirable. This is also fine for us since my daughter has only been playing for about a year and has a while to go before something slowing her down will frustrate her, but it may be a problem for others.Overall, this will work well for us. It's a solid 4.5 stars for me, rounded up to a 5 because the cat design is adorable, and my daughter loves it.

In the description, it says, "book clips page". Yeah, you can't use it for that. It holds a very small number of pages and will not work for a book. I tried in several books, hoping it was just user error but nope, you can put maybe 2 or 3 pages in it max.Lucky for me, I am a pianist, and this is fantastic for sheet music. I repurposed them for sheet music instead of their original intended use. Before you buy these, think about your use case. They are super adorable but not practical for books; however, sheet music is 10/10.

I didn't know I needed these until I started using them which means, if you have a musical friend who is also a cat-lover, you can't go wrong in buying these as an inexpensive gift! They look exactly like they do in the photos but are much sturdier than I expected. Despite being thin metal, they are not sharp. They are quite effective in holding back pages but my favorite use is as a paper clip to keep my mail together!! The best part is they make me smile every time I see them.
