Dynamo Rear Light
E**R
Combination reflector/rear light. Fixing bolts can be adjusted to 5cm distance.
This rear light/reflector combination is excellent for fixing to a pannier. My recently purchased electric bike (a Dillenger 'Cheetah' 16" portable - also very good value for money!) only came with a rear reflector on the pannier. This item replaces the reflector and provides continuous rear lighting, when required (which, from what I understand, is an UK legal requirement). The reflector surface area is as large as the original fitted to the bike. One other 'plus': the light is packaged with the fixing bolts at 8cm distance. What the on-line details did not say is that this is very easily adjusted to 5cm distance, which is what I needed for my particular pannier. There are extra punch-out holes in the light's base that enable this adjustment and it only took me a couple of minutes to do.

Big, bright, but difficult to replace the batteries
This rear cycle lamp is bright (3 LEDS powered by 4 AAA batteries). it also has a large reflector, equal in size to the rear reflector often fitting as standard on a bicycle rack, which this is fitted in place of. It is a rarity amongst cycle lights these days in that it does not have a flashing mode.It does have one design flaw. The only way to replace the batteries is to unscrew the lamp from the rack, then disassemble the lamp itself.

Completely useless
As other reviewers have noted, when the batteries need changing the entire light has to be removed from the bike by undoing the two very difficult-to-access nuts at the rear of the unit. And then the unit has to be dismantled further via two tiny little deeply recessed screws. I also noted that there are no rubber seals between the the lens and the black plastic body or around the on/off switch. So it would probably stop working very quickly unless you live somewhere very dry like the Sahara Desert. This one is going into the bin.

Unusual configuration....
EDITED review and downgrade. The on-off switch quickly became very finicky so I can't recommend this for most people.-----------------------I have no problems with this so far.It will be replacing a very inadequate reflector and will serve as my default and legal minimum rear lamp for paths etc.I have an insanely bright DIY lamp for main roads and fog with 48 LEDs - and 10 times the electrical power which I may now reconfigure to give me a brake light. But there are a few odd things about it.1. though clearly there is a dynamo version of this lamp, the fixing bolts do not act as terminals to connect a dynamo - though they are labelled as such.2. the battery is configured as two 3 volt batteries in parallel.3. there is a green LED which appears to be a low battery indicator because it only came on when I took one of the batteries out of circuit and connected through a multimeter which would have had a little resistance.

Works but don't expect a quality item.
The unit does work OK but you would have noted the downsides that have been listed in other reviews, ie. battery changing requires the unit to be unscrewed from the mounting, the light section protruding and subsequently being a little vulnerable. My personal biggest issue is the instability of the on/off button, the very first time I used it on the bike/rack I obviously moved my finger to one side a little and the rubber button fell out, luckily I didnt lose it, as it was dark/wet & cold! but it didn't go back in to a stability that I was happy with and I have subsequently put PVC tape around the outside to ensure that this does not happen again.I got the unit supposedly at a discount, but I am guessing this is a bit of a fiddle with high carriage costs to encourage you not to return, and as I say it does work, and is handy on the back of a rack that does not come by default with a reflector, but just don't expect a quality item, again I guess that is why there are also so many notes regarding the British and German Standards that don't actually appear to be the case.

Bright light but poor design
This light looks good on the rear pannier and the light is quite bright. However, I would not recommend the purchase of this light due to poor design. If you need to change the batteries you will have to undo two small (and fiddly) nuts at the rear of the light. Not ideal if you need to change the batteries halfway through a commute home in the cold and dark, and would only be possible if you had the appropriate spanner in your toolkit. Fortunately, this is my back-up light. The batteries in my main rear light can be changed in a couple of minutes. There is one advantage though - as it's fiddly to remove, it's less likely to get stolen.

Great simple bright bike light
Bought 3 of these and really happy. I cycle my children down to school bus and then onto the train station for me. Now that the days are shorter these have come into their own, we're all nice and bright which is what I wanted. Fits to the pannier/carrier, however it doesn't have adjuster (screws are in fixed position) so if you got single pre-drilled holes on the panniers/carrier then it could be an issue. Liked it for 1) it's simple on/off feature 2) it's price. Some of the lights on sale are ridiculous for what is a simple bike light!! My previous light had so many flashing states it took ages to turn off, real pain when rushing for the train.Have just bought "Premier XH48 Rear Pannier Fit LED Bike / Cycle Light" to compare. We accidentally bashed one of the above into our shed and these look very similar and half the price.

A littl pricey for what it is, but it works OK
A bit overpriced for a cheap plastic light with a few LEDs, but it does the job. The mounting is via two bolts to fit into the holes on the back of your luggage rack. The spacing is not adjustable, despite some claims to the contrary.

Tutto come previsto!
Giunto puntuale e corrispondente a quanto ordinato. Non l'ho ancora montato sulla bicicletta per cui non posso pronunciarmi sul funzionamento.
