About an hour. 15 minutes for the frame and about 45 minutes for the sides and ends. Be sure to anchor it down.

Q: can you nail this to t he grass? would it be easy to flow away by the wind?

It comes with 4 anchors that screw in to the ground.If installed properly it will will not blow away!

Q: Does this protect against hail?

Depends on what you mean by protect. If you are inside it you would be fine. We haven't had any severe storms since we put ours up.
