Q: Can I use the book with the Leapreader pen?

I don't have the leapreader pen but the books seem specific to the leapstart in how information is downloaded. Might check the leapfrog website to be sure.

Q: Does this 3d book work on a non 3d leapstart player? the question has been asked twice and not answered correctly. i have an old leapstart player.

According to leapfrog.com, "Books with LeapStart™ 3D logo feature animations on the LeapStart™ 3D system only." So, the 3D books play audio on the older LeapStart system but will not have the 3D animations. I have not tested this personally yet. This is the compatibility chart from leapfrog.com: https://s7.leapfrog.com/is/content/LeapFrog/Site%20English%20Assets/Landing%20Pages/LeapStart/LeapStart%203D%202018/LeapStart%2DCompatibility%2DChart%5Fen%2Dus.pdf I think that the cookie-cutter response from LeapFrog is supposed to say the LeapStart 3D Books will play audio on LeapStart SYSTEM and they just didn't take the time to proofread the answer they've given over and over.

Q: Is this an item that would work well for a toddler on an airplane or is it too loud?

If you are allowed to have it on the airplane (since it takes batteries, I'm not sure if it's allowed) it would be great as entertainment on an airplane since you can turn the volume down. If you have enough books it would be great.

Q: Will the leap start kindergarten books work with the leapstart PreK system?

Yes all books will work with either system
