This is great product and very fun to play it

This is an easy way to practice calligraphy without getting out the ink and ink stone. The practice strokes are Chinese which are performed a little different than Japanese kanji strokes. The blank sheets are suitable for Japanese kanji practice and work well.

These practice sheets are a bit darker in their base grey color than the "MasterChinese" practice fabric, so the contrast on these is poorer. On these sheets, the brush-strokes also tend to look blotchy after a few moments (uneven bleed on the cloth). So, if you want to take a photo of a character you're proud of, or that you want a teacher to comment on, you have to get it right away... But the whole point of these is to do 24 small characters, or six large ones (etc). Of course your earlier characters will always fade a bit (to be expected), but on these sheets they also look unattractive by the time you finish the set. Unless Teagas' sheets have improved since 2018 (when I got mine), I'd advise people to look for the Master Chinese version. (There are more complaints on the reviews there, but they're all about the basics that both versions have in common -- being pretty flimsy sheets that you lay on a table/desk, to practice brush-strokes with water.)

I first used one of these mats in a calligraphy class so I knew exactly what I wanted. This mat works great for practise and I intend to have my daughter play with it when she's old enough for finger painting for an easy clean-up.

The quality of this is fantastic! It really looks and feels like you're writing with black ink, yet 5 minutes later as the water evaporates you have a clean slate to practice again. No wasted Ink No wasted paper no cleanup no excuses to not practice. I'm so happy to have found this!

The magic cloth is very thin and soft, it is very hard to handle. It doesn’t feel like paper like other writing cloth I purchased earlier from a different vendor.

Makes it easy to practice calligraphy, I’m using one while the other is drying. Saves on paper for beginners like me. Like this two pack.

This is a fun and useful toy for my toddler. He likes drawing and the best thing is that it won’t create a mess. Definitely recommend this product
