HERCULES Super Tough Braided Fishing Line 4 Strands / 8 Strands, 4lb - 160lb Braid Lines, 150/300/500/1000 Yards for Saltwater

I have been using 15-40 lb. Hercules 4-strand braided fishing line for about 10 years. Fresh off the spool it is as good as any, IMO. I reverse it on my spinning/baitcasting reel spools every 2 seasons, so I get 4 years out of each spooling. I've only experienced a couple snap offs with this line, both after a long day of catching. The knots gave out. But that can happen to any fishing line after a couple dozen good coho fights in salt water.I use 10-15 lb. on my light rigs, 20-25 on my medium rigs, and 30-40 on my heavier rigs for salmon. In all cases it is low memory, strong, it casts well after a short break in period.IMO, it's not as durable and long lasting as top tier brands, but for the average fishing man or woman this is good, solid line for most situations.

It’s great line never had any breaks but ofc I did have 100# so that’s kinda hard to break. But the line definitely bleeds the color fast but I don’t really care about that,it function how it’s supposed never had any knots or tangling.

The media could not be loaded. Was out of my usual expensive branded braid for loading 4 pound test. So I ordered this line thinking it doesn’t cost much and I can swap it out later. What a complete surprise that it’s performing outstandingly. Not a wind knot in casting small lures for hours on end for weeks of daily salt water fishing. No fraying either with its tight weave, which light lines can do. Casting distance is great. And 500 yards means loading several reels without wondering if there will be enough line. Lucky my regular line was out of stock or I would have never tried this line. If looking for a value alternative in braid, putting this on the list is worth considering. Note that all my line, especially under 10 pounds, is occasionally treated with a spray lubricant which greatly reduces braid knotting; without that I can’t say if performance will be the same.

Great line, performed perfectly with my light spinning outfit. Caught lots of fish,with my grandson on Lake Erie.

Product is awesome and good castability.

The reel of braid came a day late and the spool was broken during transit. This will make transferring to my reel more tedious. Otherwise, product seems to be intact

Used all season no complaints as good or better than the big names

I bought the 12lb, 300 yard reel. Line feels awesome. Tried a couple test casts in the yard after changing the line, casts far and smooth and the line is light and thin. Feels a lot better than the 10lb mono I had on my spinning reel. Can't wait til I test it out on the lake. Happy with the purchase!
