ive had this for 4 months now and use it maybe 3 times a week .its awesome ,the heat is mostly in the middle,so the sides are alittle cooler .works great.couldn't more pleased.

The results I was hoping for.
Finally, EVEN HEAT! Seasoned it 5 times with Extra Virgin Olive Oil, which took a few hours and some patience. Wiped it with a moist paper towel, very lightly brushed the surface with EVOO, set the thermostat to 375°, waited for the heating light to go out, and poured pancake batter. Perfect results the very first time. Even heat. Lovely non-sticking cooking surface. Results you won't get from the herd of so called non-stick griddles - For several reasons, not the least of which is uneven/unstable temperature at the cooking surface. The side panels and backsplash of this bargain unit are thin and sharp, so do be careful not to let them cut you. But that's my only complaint with this 35 pound commercial grade cast iron griddle. It's .4" Cast Iron Plate is the Ticket, along with it's responsive and accurate thermostat. Make sure that you get the .4" Plate, if you expect the best results... And take the time to season it properly. You only have to do it when new, and it's fundamental to getting the best from this very competent tool. Operationally Excellent, and it looks awesome in the kitchen. Highly Recommended!

Like I am Cooking on a Professional Grill
This thing is so great! We love the grill. It has different temperature settings on it to make the cooking better, The grill is easy to clean. When I get done cooking on it, I clean it and then oil it on top to help hold grease and so it doesn't rust.

Defective product
Bought in December. Right knob is not working. Only one side heats up

Gaps on sides of cooking surface.. Cooktop not welded nor soldered..
Pro Tip: (1) Go outdoors and season it ~5x times before initial use. This eases cleaning and reduces stuck-on food. (2) Marking the pointer on the temperature knob with a permanent marker or white-out (liquid corrective pen) helps with quick identification of temperature selection. (3) Emery cloth will smooth out the steel's rough edges; easy does it.PROS:Prefer the 22" indoor electric flat top griddle, but the 14" is small enough for space conscious homes.Heated on max for ~20 minutes to reach ~550*F for testing.Typical cooking temperature is ~300*F (150*C on temperature knob) without exhaust fans; a reasonable sear on medium-rare steak.Fits 2x 14" rainbow trout.Now, it only takes 25% to 50% of time to cook, clean, and eat.CONS:The gaps on the sides of cooking surface cause high-viscosity liquids to spill. The February 2024 griddle seem to partially address this problem with a containment chamber underneath the cooktop and heating element (refer to attached photo). Gaps still exist in this chamber, but that's still an extra layer of security. Without the containment chamber, a return would have been requested.It may take an eternity and a half to polymerize the griddle's gaps to prevent further spilling of high-viscosity fluid.

Good Sized Cooktop
This was a gift and the person was delighted with quality and ease of use. It's heat indicator says it's not as hot as some of the others, but I think they just run out of room for the top temperature. the flat cooktop works great while keeping items from spilling off. The best part is the evenness of cooking and ease of cleaning.

Ok, mine had the Celsius knob but I was expecting that and simply installed a converter app on my phone, because my brain lolThe griddle is amazing, IMHO. It's seasoning up nicely and this thing gets HOT. I gradually got it up to temp a little at the time and didn't trip any breakers so thank you guy who did that and posted about it, great advice. Had it sitting on my flat top stove and amazingly the surface of the stove stayed cool even when my infrared temp gun registered the plate over 600° and yes it got that hot. That took a while to cool back down I'll tell ya. But cast iron y'all, so no surprise there.Anyway, I have zero regrets about this purchase (also it shipped *fast*). All I can say is the Chinese are serious about their food prep lol and I'm very much looking forward to learning how to really cook on this.

Do these things and you will love it
1. (optional) The metal top edge is somewhat sharp. I took 120grit sandpaper to it and softened that so no hands would ever get cut.2. Clean the surface with soap and water3. Plug up outside and allow any noxious residue from manufacturing to burn and smoke off.4. Season the cooking surface well with a high smoke point oil like grapeseed, canola or avocado. There are lots of vids on youtube to help with this. It will make the cooking surface non-stick and prevent rusting.This is a commercial catering unit. It does take over ten minutes to heat up but then you can knock out your cooking quickly and effectively. My son and I made the best smash burger we had ever made on the first day. It is incredible what you get for the money when you compare it to brands marketed for home use. I get Waffle House short-order cook vibes! Would buy again!
