Fantastic for any tub with a broken drain basket
Some of the metal cross pieces that the tub stopper screws into are gone from our drain basket, so we were faced with having to replace the drain assembly until we found this little gem. It literally drops right in the drain, no tools required, no adjustments, just boom and done. It has surprising weight to it that keeps it in place, yet it is simple to pick up when you want to remove it for cleaning. I found that none of the 3 extra seals were needed to keep the tub from draining since there is already a large plastic piece on the bottom that already seems to do that. The open/close mechanism is rock solid, works like a charm. Only thing I'd say is if you generate a lot of hair, then it's probably best to clean it after every usage rather than letting it get caked with hair b/c the water flow will tend to pull hair into the small holes if you just let the hair sit there for shower after shower.

Love it, but it leaves small puddle around drain in my sink
I rely on these reviews quite a bit, so this is to pay it forward. This drain stopper works great for my purposes, but might not fit the bill for you. With the gasket on that comes with the device (actually 3 different sizes in the package), I am able to push the little plunger and fill up my sink, and it does not drain out. However, with the gasket on, in my sink, it leaves a small puddle of water around the device/drain that does not quite drain away. We're not talking much, something like a 1/16" deep, up to maybe one inch around the drain, but a small puddle nonetheless that might bother some people. However, for my purposes, I simply removed the gasket and my sink drains completely. I never have a need to fill up my bathroom sink anyway, and that is not why I purchased it. I live in an apartment, and for some unknown reason, several years ago, management removed the drain stopper device so it left a one and a quarter inch open drain. All I was concerned about was loosing a toothpaste cap (which happened) or whatever down the drain and stopping it up, so I tried several different drain filters over the years. The best I could find that fit my small sized drain opening (1 1/4"), were those basket style drain filters with wire mesh. I grew to hate them as the wire mesh was so fine that they quickly got clogged up with nasty stuff, like in a day or two, and I was constantly cleaning them out with a Q-tip or whatever. I guess my saliva, toothpaste residue and beard hairs created a thick enough film to build up quickly. The end result was that the basket would clog up quickly and I was constantly having to clean out the nasty gunk.I even poked holes in the wire mesh with a screwdriver to make the holes bigger, but it still got clogged up quickly. Then I saw this device online and thought, Genius! It doesn't go down into the drain like a basket, but instead is a dome with much larger drainage holes than the basket styles I was able to find.I've had it for a couple of weeks now, and it works perfectly for me. It fits perfectly in my small drain opening, looks good, but most importantly, has large enough drain hole openings that it does not get all gunked up at all.And if I ever have a need to fill up my sink for some reason, I can either easily slip on one of the gaskets or simply remove the drain device and put in a rubber stopper that I bought for that purpose (but never use). So, for my purposes, it works perfectly and I love it. And BTW-even with the gasket on, it easily lifts out of the sink hole, so if the little puddle bothers you, you could simply lift the device for a second and the puddle will drain away.

Works Like It Was Made For It
Easy to work. I rated this after the first use, but now that I have bathed several times, I want to say it is exceptional. It holds the water just like the one that came with the tub. And, it filters the water as it goes out, catching the hair. So much better than any stopper I have ever bought. Well worth the money.

Works great
This sink stopper was easy to install. Just take it out of the package and insert it into the drain and it is ready to use. You can use it with or without the hairstopper piece as it just pulls off if you do not need it. Water drains a little slower with the hairstopper in place, but that is the trade off if you want to prevent anything but water from going down the drain. The stopper portion works well...just press it when needed to keep water in the sink. Press it again to drain the water. Very simple and durable product. I like mine.

Lever design, but drains slowly
This fit well and blocked things from going down the drain. It would probably be much better for catching hair than other designs, and easier to remove hair. But it does drain slowly, as most of these similar ones do, and so it gets a bit mucky from sitting in spit. I gave up and bought the #1 seller version, without the cone top. It drains faster, but probably isn’t as good for blocking hair and will be harder to remove the hair or other objects. I don’t have a big problem with hair and the faster draining is more important to me.

Works great, but some people in the house find it unsightly (I don't).
This is a great stopper, easy to clean, very functional as a bath water stopper. I absolutely love it: it solved the problem we had with our expensive fancy brand brass stopper that let hair in the drain and stopped working entirely. I got this one as a stop gap and my wife and daugher are horrified by how "ugly" it is compared to the useless pricey fancy brass kind. I think it's just fine. It works great,, it's well built and designed, it's cheap and if it ever stops working it will be super easy to replace. Form vs Function: Function win on that one.

Effective and Easy: My Happy Purchase for Tackling Hair Cleanup
I'm really surprised because drain plug doesn't feel cheap, and it actually works well. The hair gathers around it, and it's easy to clean and remove the hair. I'm happy with what I bought.
