I purchased the 50W Scuba Contactless Heater on 12/21 and it arrived 2 days later. I already had the app on my phone from other Sicce controllable products I use on my tank and so set up was a breeze. It connected right away and I was able to set my temp and save. A few days later when my tank was at the 78 degrees I had set it to I was able to switch it into energy saver mode and everything has been good since. I loved the ease of set up and being able to change the temperature with a tap of my phone and the price was affordable and comes with a 5 year warranty. I would recommend the scuba contactless heater to others looking for a reliable and affordable heater.

The whole point of a device like this is so you don’t have to worry about fish tank’s temperature. After a month I suddenly found my tropical tank at temperature 10 below its setting while the power was on and the heater was connected but not coming on. I checked the setting with my phone and it was on the right temperature. Anyway, I have now moved on to another brand and am much happier. I couldn’t find an easy way to contact the manufacturer either. I will try again but do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

So, this heater does heat my tank. I’m running 2 on a 75 gallon aquarium because our home is chilly. I have them both set at 78. I set up a new tank. Filled it. Let them sit in the water over 2 hours before turning them on.After 36 hours my aquarium is at 80 degrees and the heaters are still kicking on!The NFC technology is the main reason I purchased this, but I honestly feel it’s pointless. The heater needs to be read from the from the front and the suction cups are on the back. You can not rotate the heater so you need to take the heater out of the water to use the NFC. So basically it’s worse than a heater with a dial on top. I guess it’s not a big deal if you don’t adjust the temperature much. Also the NFC cannot be read through the glass. I’ve tried everything to make this work but I’m the end I need to pull the heater out of the water to adjust it.It does have a 5 year warranty and it does work I guess. Just not sure if I want to keep it based on the inaccuracy of the product.

This heater is extremely complicated. In my opinion the app doesn’t seem to work very well giving me errors and errors and more errors. I’m trying it out again for the 56 time. If I can’t get it in another day like tomorrow I’m sending it back have no idea where this doesn’t work right I’ve done everything even trying to use the app to connect to the heat is difficult Two seconds they say. What threw me to the heater it guarantee for five years heaters break constantly meaning they git to hot cook your super expensive beautiful parrot fish. They were bigger than oranges, bright orange I cried like a baby. I love those little guys, but this is not really a good app. I figure the problem is in the app. This is the third or fourth heater. I have purchased online so I thought I’d go for a big name family name good guarantee . in the business I heard. Good luck hope yours works. It was 250 W.

So far I really like the heater. Great quality and the technology is great but could be better because you need to disconnect and remove the heater if you have it in the back of your aquarium in order to make any adjustments, also the heater is longer than all my previous heaters of the same watts so check size before buying. You can install the heater at a 45 degree angle if you need more room like I did with my aquarium. Another positive is that you can calibrate the temperature with your phone if you have a calibrated or very precise thermometer. So far it is keeping my aquarium temp very stable and since there is no manual control to change the temperature then I have the feeling that the heater will last a long time because that is a weak point of all the other heaters.

This is my first Sicce product. I was very excited to use it. Plan to expand my fish products with other Sicce. Quickly warms the tank and keeps the temp steady. The preset temp out of the box works fine. Would be nice to have an NFC button sticking outside of the aquarium to control the heater so that I would not have to put my phone in the water to calibrate or read. But otherwise the heater has been durable and dependable and hope that Sicce expands on more smart products.

I bought 5 models of this heater because I saw all of the marketing on social media so I definitely got sucked in for all of my aquariums. This 50w went into my 10 gallon guppy tank last night. As promised, it connected instantly, set my temperature last night to 79.5, and this morning found it to be super precise right on target. Awesome heater, even better technology with the NFC. Well done Sicce!

I guess I somehow got a return unit, when I opened it up I noticed their looked like water in the glass, I could get it how but the NFC was not communicating. Bought a different brand.
