Beyond 5 Stars!!!! Absolutely Delicious!
I enjoy buying this brand because of their high quality and clean protein source. I was anticipating the delivery of this product with high expectations that i would enjoy it just as much as i have the other products i have purchased in the past (Sardines, Mackerel, Salmon) and oh boy, this took it to a whole other level! The beef was moist, flavorful, and ready to eat with no doctoring but i decided to microwave it and it was just perfect. This will be a repeat purchase for me absolutely!! how deliciously convenient!

Great flavor- Value is a question
I wanted to try this just to see if it was a good option for making a quick lunch - maybe a wrap or top a baked potato. A good beef flavor, but comparatively for the amount of beef to the price it just did not add up as a value lunch. The package only contain enough for one and was pricy.

Tasty and Convenient
These are pretty ridiculously priced but look at me buying them anyway lolI love to make mini low carb tacos with these and also adding to omelets. You can season them any way you’d like.I don’t really like buying beef so this is a great option when I just need a little bit.

$30+ Dollars per pound @ $5.99 for a 3oz. package.
Great products from the Wild Planet folks. At this price though, it really is about the convenience, and for $30+ per pound ($5.99 per 3oz pack), I’d be choosing proteins such as wild fish such as salmon, Chilean sea bass, and tuna before red meat, but that’s just me. Obviously, you’re not going to want to eat deep sea fish such as tuna everyday due to the dangers of mercury build up in your body. Nobody wants mercury/heavy metals poisoning leading to the need for chelation therapy. Back to the topic… I’m speaking as to a $30+ dollar per pound protein “splurge.” As far as red meat goes, I’d be choosing to hunt wild or buy finer cuts of grass fed AND grass finished steak (that hasn’t been fed or injected with various pharmaceuticals that most likely affected the animal’s biome along with anything that ate that animal afterwards) if the parameters were $30+ per pound, although those other proteins currently do not come in a nice convenient package as far as I know. Again, I consider an item like this a splurge as most folks can’t afford $5.99 for 3 ounces of protein. We’re designed and/or have evolved as meat eating hunters through hundreds of thousands of years and have stereo vision and hearing along with the teeth for ripping, cutting, and chewing meat. Our ability to sweat to cool ourselves during an extended hunting pursuit extends our endurance in order to catch other animals even though we may not be faster when sprinting or stronger without tools or without using our big brains. The herbivores have eyes and ears on the sides of their heads and teeth for grinding vegetation. It’s apparent to anyone who cares to observe the clues evolution has left us what foods each type of animal should be mainly eating. In thinking about ethics, and even considering that every animal has a soul energy, it’s easy to always come back to eating various types of fish as a main protein source. Consider the old saying, “Memory of a goldfish.” A larger brained animal such as a cow is most likely going to experience more trauma in it’s soul energy even it is slaughtered “humanely.” If everything, meaning all energy is connected, that trauma from the cow being slaughtered affects all of us even though we may not consciously perceive it at that moment. Eating fish instead, seems to be much less of a disruption to the overall “happy” energy flow. Portable protein such as this in a little package is definitely convenient for the humans who can afford it. Unfortunately, most cannot.

Not so good
I bought this shredded beef to use in tacos. I put this shredded beef in a skillet to warm it up and tasted it once it was warm and whoa… It was just not edible. I had my family members taste it and we all agreed it tasted like dog food ( not that I’ve ever had dog food) I had to reread the packaging to make sure that I didn’t miss something and ensure that it was for human consumption. Skip this one….. or give it to ur pets.

Very tasty!
If you're a purest that wants and likes eating good clean food with no added junk or have health issues such as myself that requires an extremely low sodium diet than this is definitely something you will like. I can appreciate simple pure clean foods without all the artificial flavors and abundance of salt in my food so therefore I absolutely loved and found this shredded beef with the brothiness so creamy and tasty and allowing for me to add my own herbs and spices. I personally love to taste my food as it is with the flavors coming through of what I'm eating not filled with salt and flavorings such as pepper that I cannot have so this was a breath of fresh air to get something that I can create into my own. It's frustrating for myself to see store shelves filled with canned chicken and canned salmon and tuna fish all of which I have severe allergies to and I cannot find canned beef or canned lamb products so this was a happy find for me and a bonus, NO SALT OR FLAVORINGS! Sometimes just don't feel like cooking and want something simple and this is my answer. Love how I can create it into my own! It's tasty creamy not dry, just wish the package was bigger and wish other companies would catch on to cutting all the artificial junk in products and allowing us to season our food accordingly. I can appreciate grass-fed meats maybe to the point of saying it's an acquired taste and this shredded beef was creamy not gaming not dry and definitely full of flavor. Actually, having some grass-fed beef being very gamey and tough, I was a little nervous trying this but was shocked and surprised at how outstanding it is. Mine came with a 20-month expiration date from the month that I got it.

Delicious and convenient
Obviously this is no filet mignon, but for being precooked beef that is basically preserved like tuna, it’s delicious. You’ll need to season it to your preference and it might benefit to have the seasonings sit for 15 minutes to 1 hour before eating, but that’s a small price to pay for the convenience and longevity of it being shelf stable. We have a baby eating solid food and this is going to be a staple in our pantry for him when he isn’t sharing a meal with us. Give it a try!
