Q: I am making mittens with 5 1/2 oz. moose hide and beaver. Do you recommend the 202 or the 402 machine?

The 402 is the more heavy duty of the two models. I would recommend it, along with a #18 needle to sew that type of thickness.

Q: I am sewing mink, fox and beaver hides, can this machine be used on all of these or would it be better to use the 202?
